Congratulations! I think you did the right thing. GOOD FOR YOU!!!

And no I didn't know that men metabolize alcohol faster than women, even at the same size and weight. And I also didn't know, that the week before your period, you absorb alcohol faster into your blood, raising your BAC. Hm I learned something new today. Thank you!

yep, online. I've been at it for over 2 hours now. they said it takes over 3 hours. and it costs just under $20 to take.

They also ask questions that you have to answer within 20 seconds about yourself so they know it is you taking the course. I'm kind of flipping back and forth between it.

Good job girl! Nothing is as important as your health and sanity and you seem like a real go getter so I'm sure you'll have your new job in no time at all! One you can be truly happy with :)

Good for you. Life is definitely too short, particularly if you have other means.

I did know that men metabloize alcohol faster than women, but was unaware of the faster absorption before your period. Did you also know that if you have one drink and then drive even 4 hours later, you will still blow an alcohol level rating - and the charge will be the same as if you were at the legal limit?!! Just something to think about.....

Congrats on leaving a bad enviroment and Bigger Congrats for passing the TABC certification...Since you are in the Austin area...Should be easy to find a job....Lots of places....
Be sure and let us know where you go to work...We are in Austin alot- Hubby's office is in Austin.....Would love to eat and visit....

Hey everyone! Just wanted to post an update that I got a new job already! I start on Friday and should be waiting tables on my own by the end of next week, fingers crossed! I'm just really excited to start working with people again! There are about 60 servers that work there, so I definitely have my pick of who I want to hang out with! :D It has all just worked out so smoothly since I first made this thread. I was so nervous, but it seems like I made the right move, and that I am going to fit in well at the new job.
Thanks to everyone who supported me through this. It meant a lot to have the YT cheerleading squad behind me! HUGS!!!

CONGRATULATIONS ! You didn't need that jerk and I hope it hurt when you left - no one should be treated that way

60 servers ? must be a very busy place to need that many and that means $$$

Ooh, that was great fun, I've been in there a few times since the meet up and I love that store. I'd love for all of us to get together again soon!

I'll pm you soon about when I will actually be waiting tables on my own. I've got at least a week's worth of training to do.
