prayers for my 3 yr old granddaughter
 

I am so sad right now. My kids were all going to be home for Christmas with thier families for the 1st time in 10 years. Then 2 weeks ago my oldest son called and said they can't make it because airline tickets are too expensive. ( He has all year to plan and kept saying he was going to get them early) But I kind of already expected that is what he would do.

Now my daughter called and they can't make it either. My 3 yr old granddaughter has pnuemonia and has been in the hospital for 4 days now. Hopefully she will come home today. I totally understand her not being able to make it. They were so excited to come and would have been here today.

My middle son is supposed to arrive today. (Please Lord, don't let anything else happen) I have been working non-stop getting ready for Christmas and I don't think I could take it if they cancelled too.

I hope you will all keep my granddaughter Caidence in your prayers. She is such a sweet girl and couldn't wait to see the babies. She told me, "Mamaw, can me and you put dresses on MY puppies?" I was planning to take her upstairs all by herself and let her help to dress the babies for Christmas.

The good news is that we will plan to go to Phoenix right after Christmas to take thier Christmas gifts to them Hopefully she will be all better by then. We will take the babies with us so she can get her chance to dress them. lol

I'm so sorry your plans haven't worked out. My son and GF left for the coast to day, so we won't have any kids this Christmas either, but I know they need the break.

Good news! My granddaughter was able to come home today, so we will be going to Phoenix sometime in the next week. My son didn't make it yesterday, but is due to arrive any minute. We also have invited my DIL's brother, wife, and kids who live here in town to join us for dinner. I think that makes something like 31 who will be spending Christmas dinner at my house! YIKES! What have I done? lol

Oh well, Christmas is only once a year but the feelings of extending the kindness and joy to others lasts the rest of the year.
