Trading White Snow Hills for White Sandy Beaches I'm leaving the wintry white wonderland outside my cold windows in Iowa today to fly to the hot white sandy beaches of Florida. My parents bought us airline tickets to enjoy Christmas away from home for the very first time in my life! They live there & didn't want to deal with the winter this year. Anyone else trading cold for warm this holiday season?? Or anyone else trading heat for cold this week?? Yesterday we received about 4-5 inches of snow, but in some places it is much deeper as we had lovely gusting winds giving us blizzardy conditions - oh yeah, I'm going to miss that  - sad thing is it will be here when I get back from the 80-degree temps in a week! |
That's great. If you every want to swap houses for a week you can use our's if Florida, and will come stay at yours in the snow. |
I also live in Iowa, and the wind is howling this morning blowing all the fresh snow we received last night. The pups stepped out and said "no way" .....are you guys crazy.......:) They want to go home to Alabama where it's warmer..... Florida does sound nice and maybe next year we'll be spending some time there... the snow is nice for awhile then it does get "old" |
Please have a safe trip. and for those in the cold.. nasty conditions please stay warm and safe |

We're in the NW corner of MO and got more snow yesterday as well. I happen to love the snow, just not the ice. It would be fun the get a little escape from it though! Enjoy your trip! My brother is taking his family to Disney in Florida the day after Christmas. |
Enjoy your trip! and have a great time!!:) |
