Tell your loved one's how much you love them this holiday season! I'm grateful for all the blessings I have and hate that sometimes something bad has to happen to someone else for you to appreciate it. I have been doing some volunteer bookkeeping work for this guy who runs a local youth gym to get kids off the street and give them something constructive and also positive role models. Anyways, the man's wife has apparently had breast cancer for a year and a half and for whatever reason, she has tried to just treat it holistically and kept it all to herself. (I couldn't imagine having to carry that burden so long) 2 weeks ago everyone in her family found out since she wound up in the hospital and and they said there was really nothing they could do at that point. Well, yesterday, she passed away. They have an 8 year old daughter and I just can't stop thinking about how sad their holiday season must be this year. I almost feel guilty for the blessing I have, a home, a wonderful husband, 2 awesome kids... What more could I ask for? Anyways, I just wanted to remind you all to hold your families a little closer and appreciate what you have because all you really have for sure, is today. No one knows what tomorrow will bring. I wish you all a very happy and healthy holiday season and thank you all for touching my life in small and sometimes big ways. Theresa |

Thanks for the reminder. I never dreamed this year my Mom would not be with us. It has taught me to enjoy the now since we never know what tomorrow brings. How terribly sad for that family. 8 is wat to young to loose your Mom. I will keep them in my prayers. |
Thank you for the reminder. I have so many people in my life that I love and am thankful for. Have a wonderful holiday. |

It is so true life holds so many unpredictables, we never know from one day to the next. I would never have given thought to one day that Jack would be afflicted with the devastating disease of Parkinsons, but he has....we are so thankful in knowing who will hold our tomorrows when this life is over. I pray for your friends husband and family, very sad. We thank you and your husband for touching our lives in a big way. Hugs to you and yours, Patti and Jack |
Your words are so true. I don't have any immediate family except for my Hubby and son, and boy do I love them! I lost my mom and my dad in my thirties and don't have brothers or sisters. My friends are my family and I always try to be the best friend ever as I adore them! Thanks for the reminder. |
What a sad situation, but the message is so clear! Thank you for the post! |
Great post...I wish I had that one more time do just that with my husband...its 4 months tommorrow since he died and every day I have the same feelings as you just posted. :( I feel blessed since I have my family but losing someone you love is something you just don't 'get' over and during the holidays it seems especially harder....What a sad story and my heart goes out to the family -:( |
V, I have been thinking of you so much this week and how hard it must be for you. I will say a special prayer for you on Christmas morning that you can enjoy the day without too much hurting! |
Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes we forget what's most important in life. I'll be praying for her family. |
