baked bean recipe Does anyone have a good baked bean recipe? |
OK I'll give you my secret recipe............. Bush's original baked beans:D I used to make them from scratch but Bush's are just as good and soooooo much easier. |

I just use pork n beans, brown sugar, ketchup. Mix together and bake with bacon on top. |
I use Campbells pork n beans and mix up ketsup, mustard, brown sugar, bacon fried very crisp and crumbled, worchestershire sauce. Mix all together and bake at 350 degree for about 1 hour or till thick. |
I take this recipe to a lot of functions: Calico Beans 9 slices of bacon (diced) 1 lb of hamburger 1 cup chopped onions 1 clove of garlic Saute all this together then add: 1/2 cup catsup 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 tb dry mustard salt and pepper to taste 2 tb of vinegar Heat all this together then add 1 large can of campbells pork & beans 1 can of kidney beans 1 can of lima beans or use butter beans (drain this can of beans) Bake in over 350 degrees or you can simmer on top of stove for about 45 minutes or until it gets as thick as you want. |
