pink depression
 
can anyone tell me anything about pink depression glass? i got a few pieces from my mom today who had them from my grandmothers collection who has passed. i know nothing about them except they are very pretty and old! any help info appreciated

All I know is that they are very collectible and can be worth some money.

I don't know anything about them, but I do know they are very pretty and very valuable. A friend of mine collects all sorts of older glasswares...she knows all the names, brands, styles, prices, etc.......

Check out a local antique shop-one of the dealers there might be able to tell you more about it. My grandparents deal antiques in several stores, and I know pink depression glass is worth some money!

I have a nice collection of pink depression glass. I'd love to see pics! I used to know a ton of the patterns names and makers but it's been a while since I've been into it. I think it so beautiful. My mother inlaw collects carnival glass which is really gorgeous as well.

I have a large collection of the pink "Mayfair" or "Open Rose" pattern. Also, several other pieces.

Google depression glass. There's alot of info on it. Also, if you can, take a picture of it and post it. I may be able to tell by a picture as to what pattern it is. I've researched alot of patterns. I'd love to see pics!!

My MIL has tons of depression glass. It's so beautiful.

My MIL has tons of depression glass. It's so beautiful.
I have a couple in that pattern too. I also have a few Adam plates, a whole slew of Dogwood, and a few cup/saucer sets and large plates in other patterns.

I got the dogwood from a thrift store, gigantic box for $20. I've sold off some of it on ebay but kept the main serving dishes, creamer set and cup/saucer sets. they really can be worth a lot of money if they are in good shape.

Don't you just love it?! My MIL has just about every pattern in every color. We put on a 60th Wedding Anniversary for my dh's great aunt and uncle and used all of the depression glass. OMG! you should have seen it. We used all the different colors for the table setting but in tactful ways. It was just gorgeous. I could kick myself tho for not taking a picture of it!

I've got some of the rare pieces and boy have they appreciated in price! I just love old glass and antiques.
