Help with my MAC laptop I NEED a writing program! Anyone know of a good (free) download that will give me something comparable to WORD? I heard of something awhile ago, but have since forgotten what it was called! THANK YOU! :D :D :D |
I DL open office... but it's just on my desktop as a download... will it stay there? or is there a way to put it in applications? This isn't my first Mac... but I'm a little rusty |
I think google docs is free. docs.google.com I asked my husband and he said iWork is $79. He said the free ones aren't worth using. |

i have microsoft office for mac. i got it from my ex. i wouldn't know what to do without it. i don't think there is any free program that is going to be good. :( |
The iwork is wonderful and is worth the $79:thumbup: |
i may look into buying one. I just wanted to try out the ree ones that have good reviews... I already clicked it and opened it and opened docs from microsoft word (PC) but it still isn't showing in my apps...? hrm....... |
oh whew. i got it to apps... i'm not as rusty as i thought....  |
I really recommend iWork. At first I was weary because I was so used to using Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. After getting used to using Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, I don't think I could ever go back to using Microsoft Office (except when I am at work of course!). I am not sure of any free programs out there. Good luck!:) |
