Sleep walking? Does anyone have any information or experiences with sleep walking? For the past 6 months-ish, I've been "waking up" in the middle of the night, talking to my husband, playing with the dogs, answering the phone, setting my alarm, and I don't remember any of it. Like the other night my husband came home at 2:30 am and the dogs barked. Apparently I got up out of bed and yelled at them to stop. The only thing I remember is waking up to my alarm (that I don't remember setting) and seeing Adam sleeping next to me. I've also talked to him and my mom on the phone in my sleep. What do you all think? |
Do you take Ambien by any chance? Lots of people do things like that when they take Ambien. |
I was gonna ask the same, do you take Ambien? |
Nope I'm not on Ambien at all. |
When I lived at home, I shared a room with my sister and she said I would sit up in bed and carry on whole conversations with her and I would have no recollection of it the next day. But I never walked in my sleep. I think I grew out of it as my husband never mentioned me doing it. Are you under any unusual stress? |
I will talk in my sleep and not remember it but never walk. My brother said he used to ask me questions when he would hear me talk and i would answer but i would be asleep:rolleyes: |
On the nights that you have talked or walked in your sleep ....did you drink alcohol before going to bed? My DH only walks and talks in his sleep when he has had a few drinks. Hopefully, you can figure out what is going on with yourself. |

My husband is terrible like that at night. It gets really bad sometimes. We've been living together for 14 years and I've never gotton used to it. Most of the time it's silly stuff, he sits up in bed with eyes open and talks to me about the "spider" on the wall or there's a "rat" in the room and he's looking all over for it. And other times he gets up and walks around and thinks he sees things. Once he thought our golden retriever (that was sleeping!) was dead and got up and was petting him and got all emotional. It takes a while for me to get him to wake up, sometimes he remembers and sometimes he does not. |
