Take her out to lunch and get pedicures. |
I also work in a law office, and I have a support staff of 6 ladies whom all are incredibly picky and all very different, whom expect a gift from me because I am an attorney...They are all in that 50 year old range, and I have no idea what to get them...We also are doing a gift exchange in the office and I have to get a gift for that which one of them will recieve. I too would love suggestions! |

But anyway, I'm not 50 yet!!!! Just almost, so maybe I can help. I would love to get a gift card from Barnes and Noble even tho' I don't like gift cards from other places. (A gift card from a book store is less generic.) I would like a nice throw for my livingroom couch in a nuetral shade. I like picture frames, as I have 10 grandchildren!!!! (Lots of pics, never enough frames...sigh) I like beautiful, floral stationery sets. I'll be happy to send you my address if you'd like to experiment....:p Anyway, hope some of these suggestions help. |
Maybe a gift certificate to a restaurant? Everyone loves food! |
I'd say a gift card to a day spa. Who wouldn't want that? |
I was thinking of the food one too! my mom luvs I-hop & my dad luvs olive garden so they'll get to go eat twice!! I do think the day spa is a good idea-I mean who would turn down a pedicure? :) or do a gift basket & have alot of little things in it say- small lotion, some aromatherapy or candle, gourmet coffee or chocolate & maybe a paper-back book or devotional?? |
I didn't read any of the other replies, so sorry if I'm repeating. How about a beautiful bookmark and booklight? |

I knew I could count on my YT friends!! Great ideas guys, any body else have any more suggestions... you guys are sharp:giftbox: :thankyou2 |
Well there are some people who love to read and are big writers themselves..if that was the case you could get her a leather back journal and a writing pen? Or maybe some desk stationary, you know to put her papers, business cards or pens? They tend to sell those in the pack... How about a back massage mat that she can put over her chair to get a nice massage while working? |
I'm all about the consumable gifts for people that are hard to buy for...here are some ideas: How about a "night at the movies" package-include a $5 gift card to blockbuster, microwave popcorn, movie theater style candy (Walgreen's has these), and if you are feeling really generous-throw in a nice soft blanket or a pair of slipper socks. You can get popcorn tubs at Target-just put it all in there, wrap in plastic and you're good to go! Or, how about the same idea with a coffee mug, then some stirring spoons, individual servings of coffee/tea/hot chocolate, a small bag of mini marshmallows, and a cookie mix. (To make stirring spoons: dip some plastic spoons in almond bark or melted chocolate, top with marshmallows or sprinkles, and let harden. Then wrap in plastic wrap, secure with ribbon.) Or, how about a split of champagne/sparkling grape juice, a couple kinds of cheese, some nice crackers, some fancy chocolates, and a few pieces of fruit? Wrap it all up in a large festive cloth napkin, and secure with raffia, or put in a basket lined with cloth napkins, and add a bow to the handle. |
