PROUD mom....my 6 year old's first gymnastics competition PICS 4 Attachment(s) prepare to be overloaded with pictures :) this was Trinity's first competition. She has been doing competitive gymnastics since September 07, so this was very very new for her. She did a GREAT job. She scored 9.6 on vault, bars, and beam. 9.4 on her floor routine (we want a re-score HAHA LOL) She got first place ribbons for each event, which was very neat for her!!! It was a very positive meet...everybody won something. It was mostly to give them the experience of being "judged" and to show them what they are in for. She was commended for being the most focused and really showed a lot of strengths and potential. Here are a few highlights from the event.... First is bars. I will post more with vault, beam and floor routines vault: Bars: (this was also the first time she ever made it over by herself!!) |
4 Attachment(s) Here is Vault |
4 Attachment(s) Here is beam... |
3 Attachment(s) more beam... |
4 Attachment(s) and here are pics from the floor routine. I was mad because we were blocked by the judges for most of it, but I got a couple of pics. :) |
4 Attachment(s) and a few more.... receiving her awards...and a pic with her coach :) |
1 Attachment(s) and here is me and my baby girl :) I"m so incredibly proud of her!!!! for those of you wondering...she is in level 3 gymnastics right now LOL |
How very cute is she? Congrats to you both!!!! |
Congrats. My daughter did competitve gymnastics for a while, She ended up in competitve cheer tho. Gym is so good for them. It takes a lot of dicipline. |
What a great job she did! I loved being in gymnastics when I was a little girl and loved the uneven bars the best of all! When I was little I would practice on our swing set and give my mom a scare! Does she enjoy it? She has the stance down for sure in her pictures! |
She is a CUTIE PIE! She looks like she just loves it! She looks very professional already! YOU GO GIRL! |
She looks so proud - and so she should be. Gymnastics is so much fun. It is good for these young kids. They learn sharing, disciplin, compassion, teamwork and, of course, showmanship;) . Krysten was in it for several years when she was younger. Her 2 greatest moments was coming in 4th in the vault at the NYS Leatherstocking Meet with teams from all over the east. But, her absolute greatest memory was getting to meet, have lunch with and pictures taken with the 1996 Men's and Women's Olympic Gymnastics Teams. That was with Dominique Moceanu, Kerri Strugg, Amanda Borden, Amy Chow, Shannon Miller, Dominique Dawes and Jaycie Phelps. Then we got to watch the show they put on while on tour. She has autographs and lots of souveniers. Tell you dtr that no matter how hard it gets, how much it hurts(as long as nothing is broken), no matter how much the coach yells and especially no matter how mad she gets, don't give up. Get mad, be stubborn and show the coach she can do it. Iit will make her a better gymnast in the end. 4 1st places - she's on her way to the top:) . Congrats - you should be so proud of her (as I'm sure you are). She's beautiful. |
