I've seen baskets with chocolate covered spoons, just the top part. That's so cool because you can use them on your cocoa or coffee. Specially if you include like a ceramic cup and some cocoa mix :) You can use a nice plastic spoon and them wrap the top with a tiny cello bag and a small bow. Just an idea... |

I LOVE Chocolate covered potato chips. I mean what is NOT to love...CHIPS, check, Chocolate, check. :p :p |
Oreo Truffles IF YOU WANT TO TRY SOMETHING EVERYONE LOOOOOOOOOVES CHECK THIS OUT... I DONT SHARE THE RECIPE WITH ANYONE AROUND HERE..LOL BUT YOU GUYS ARE FAMILY NOW!!!IN A FOOD PROCESSOR ADD ONE BAG OF REGULAR OREOS! SPIN IT AROUND UNTIL THE WHITE CENTERS DISAPPEAR AND YOU HAVE A SMALL CRUMB. NOW ADD ONE BLOCK OF CREAM CHEESE AND MIX IN THE PROCESSOR UNTIL YOU HAVE ONE BALL OF WHAT LOOKS TO BE TAR!!! SCOOP THIS OUT INTO A PLASTIC BOWL AND PUT IN FREEZER. ONCE IT IS GOOD AND COLD BUT NOT FROZEN...ROLL INTO LITTLE BALLS (I DO MINE IN THE SIZE OF A NICKLE BECAUSE THEY ARE RICH) PLACE THEM ON A COOKIE SHEET AND BACK INTO FREEZER. AGAIN JUST ENOUGH TO MAKE IT EASY TO HANDLE. NOW DIP IN WHITE CHOCOLATE OR ALMOND BARK! I JUST LET THEM DRY ON PARCHMENT PAPER. FOR XMAS I USE RED AND GREEN SPRINKLES. IT IS HEAVEN. THEY LOOK BEAUTIFUL AND HARD TO MAKE BUT IT IS SO EASY!!!!! |
I take a mini pretzel and top it with a Rolo (or you can use Hershey kisses). I put it in the oven on a parchment or foil lined cookie sheet at 250 degrees for about 4 minutes until it is soft (it will not melt). I take it out and then top with a pecan half (press it slowly into the rolo). I usually then place them on a sheet pan and set in the fridge to harden up (works better to pack in a tin). Personally, my very favorites are dark chocolate covered Pretzels. |
Don't forget candy canes in dark chocolate! YUM! |

These are yummy dipped in chocolate (either half dipped or all the way) Peanut Butter Cookies 1 cup peanut butter 1 cup sugar 1 large egg 1tsp. vanilla Sugar (for dipping) Pre-heat oven to 325. Combine peanut butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Drop by teaspoon 2 inches apart onto cookie sheet. Fatten with fork dipped in sugar (or bottom of glass dipped in sugar).Bake 14-16 minutes until lightly browned. Cool on rack. Makes about 2 ½ dozen. |
Chocolate Covered Coconut Balls 1 ½ lb. powdered sugar ¼ lb. butter (1 stick) 1 can Eagle Brand Milk 1 cup nuts 1 sack coconut 1 TB vanilla Mix the above well, put in refrigerator and chill. 1 (12oz) pkg. chocolate chips ¼ lb. paraffin (canning supply) Melt paraffin in double boiler. Add chips stir until melted. Make candy into balls. With toothpick, dip balls into chocolate. Lay on waxed paper to chill. |
My mom and I made some Christmas candy today! We made fudge (w/ and w/o nuts), peppermint bark, pumpkin bread, and oreo truffles (recipe up above). Tomorrow we are going to make the chocolate covered coconut balls (recipe also above)..I think these are also known as Martha Washington's. And we are also going to make the ritz cracker PB sandwiches dipped in chocolate! YUM YUM :D The Oreo Truffles are really good! I realized the White Chocolate morsels were still too thick after being melted to coat the truffles easily. The melted almond bark worked much better. I ended up double dipping them to get them coated completely and sprinked chocolate sprinkles on top. |

You take the waffle pretzels, layer them on a cookie sheet and place a rollo on each one. Put them in the oven on 250 just long enough for the rollo to get a bit soft, then place a pecan in the center of the rollo. Place the cookie sheet in the fridge for them to harden up and OMG they are the best lil snacks ever! Plus they are so easy to make, the kids will love to help! |
I don't have a recipe, but if you need my address to send some, let me know!! :) |
