Hoping Joran is out of surgery and all went well and your husband is feeling better and you must be so exhausted!!! |
That's wonderful hubby is home. You must be so relieved. Prayer's still coming for Joran that the surgery goes perfectly. |
Joran had his surgery and got through it! I can't tell you how scared I was...so many thoughts went through my head of what could or might happen! Thank goodness he came through the surgery fine. He is such a little trooper...didn't complain once. He was in such pain after surgery, but finally got that pain lowered by painkillers and he is still hurting, but it's more tolerable. Whew! I am so happy this much is behind him. I won't even go into the stuff about the rinky dink hospital and the stupid things they do or don't do. Now he's got a long few weeks ahead of him, but I hope and pray it will be better each day. I'm concerned about my hubby...he's still having chest pain and gets winded and those are not good signs. He can be stubborn and doesn't want to deal with it. The elevators at the hospital were broke down today for some reason and would you believe, Joran had to walk down the stairs to go to his surgery? Thanks so VERY much for your prayers and concern! I appreciate you all more than you'll ever know! Oh...Kirby is doing SOOOOO good. We can feel a little muscle in his little legs again...PTL! He doesn't have much muscle built around his backbone, but that will come with time! |
For goodness sake! I just found this thread. I'm so thankful that all went well with the surgeries and that everyone is out of danger. What a tough week you and your family have had Connie. I'll continue to pray for your husband and grandson. And I'll send up some prayers for your SIL too. God is good and He just continues to show us.:) |
I'm so glad the worse is over for Joran. What did the Doctor say about you DH symptoms Connie? |
Oh, Connie, I am so happy everything went well with Joran! Fortunately, young people heal quickly! Please let him know that he is in our prayers. Your husband is probably like my Patrick was after his heart attack in May '06. Fortunately, he didn't have to have surgery, but he was a horribly impatient - patient! I had to watch him 24/7 to make sure he followed the doctors orders. It was so hard for him to accept the fact that he shouldn't do all the things that he was accustomed to doing and he hated doing the new things that he needed to! It took him almost a year to really feel good and that came only after one doctor listened to us, finally, and put him back on the BP medication that had kept it normal for a lot of years!! Every time I suggested it, believe me I mentioned it to every single dr. who saw him, and they just kept trying one after the other but never Zesteretic [sp?]. His BP just kept fluctuating up and down until one finally listened ... it only took a few days after that first tablet & I had my old hubby back!! ;) I pray that your hubby will have a complete recovery. |
Connie such good news and I see you have alot to be thankful for this Holiday Season. What is it with men and their health, looks like you will have to use tough love. lol Hugs to you all Joan |
Sooooo glad to read this update! Thank you Connie! I am so glad that everything went well with Joran - I said many prayers for him as you know :) Please continue to update on how he is doing and I pray that the pain killers continue to work and that he has no more pain  And please get your husband in to see someone :( I know how men can be about things because my hubby is the same way when it comes to going to the doctor, but PLEASE try and get him to go. This worries me and you have been dealing with SOO much lately.... you poor thing, you are in need of a SERIOUS break :( And Kirby, oh my goodness!! PTL is right!! That is wonderful news! I just KNEW he was going to continue to improve....he is such a little fighter! Way to go KIRBY!!!! :cheer: Give him a big hug for me  Keep the updates coming! |

Oh my goodness, I am just now reading this. Connie, you and your family sure are going through a lot these days :( . . .I will pray for your and your family :( |
Just to let you know...Joran is doing pretty well. He\'s sleeping a lot...I spose it takes a while for that anesthesia to wear off and he\'s on some pretty strong pain killers, but it\'s a good thing if he can sleep away the time! I haven\'t seen him yet today, but plan to go later and give him a hug! We\'re waiting for word on my SIL\'s biopsy. They are supposed to find out today. My hubby is at cardiac rehab right now and they are going to put him through some tests and hopefully it will all look good. He told me this morn that so far he hasn\'t had any chest pain today! He just called from the hospital and had checked on his bill...guess what the charges are so far for Tuesdays procedure...a whopping $79,600! Thank goodness for insurance! |
I\'m glad Joran\'s surgery is over and wish him a speedy recovery. Wow that\'s some bill! As long as your hubby is well what\'s money? Your right thank God for insurance. It\'s easy to see why people loose everything when they do not have insurance. Very scary. Good luck with your SIL biopsy. Two down and one to go. Prayer\'s coming that it will be ok also. |
Any news from SIL\'s biopsy?? |
