Oh NO!!! I got a call from the BF about an hour ago saying "umm, our bathroom is flooded." I was still at work so I told him I'd call him right back. Then he calls me back a few minutes later and says "do you think I should call the emergency maintenance?" Yes. Yes you should. It was pouring out of our vents in the celing! The maintenance man is here now, saying that it came from the bath or shower upstairs! Ugh, as if we haven't had enough of these awful neighbors. Now we are going to be stuck with maintenance between our apartments for a few days! I'll keep you posted! |
oh wow... i hope you guys can get it fixed soon. is it a two family house? |
OMG I couldn't help but laugh at your BF asking if he should call emergency maintenance :) I hope they get that fixed asap~ |

Our maintenance people came so fast though! And they were so nice! I am so pleased with this complex, just not our nasty upstairs neighbors! (They let their Choc. Lab poo on their balcony and then sweep it onto ours once a week) |
I'm glad they were able to get there quickly and get the water stopped! I hope there is no damage! Ok, I would draw the line at having poo raked on my patio once a week. We'd be having a serious talk with management about that! |
I am so sorry! I'm glad you have a sense a humor about it though. ;) |

YUCK!!!! |
OMG do you live in my old building? This happened to me, over my bedroom/bathroom. We had a 2 BR/2 BA, and the neighbors upstairs somehow overflowed their toilet...well, the guy was home all day, (playing video games, I think), and never noticed!!! 9 hours of running water made for quite a scene when I came into my bedroom after a long day-I flipped on the light switch, and it was POURING through the light fixture, dripping from the ceiling, and running out of the vents!!! I immediately called after hours maintenance, and they went up there and disconnected it, and then brought in big fans to dry it out right away. BUT, they wouldn't pay for a hotel or anything-but my room was soaked!!! I couldn't stay in there, and we weren't supposed to use the electricity since the water was also running out the outlets in the adjacent kitchen wall!!! We went and stayed at a friend's, and then after a day or two, it was mostly dried out. Oh yea, there were no consequences for these people, and they too used to put dog poop in bags on their deck, and somehow the "wind" would blow the bags down onto our deck  I feel for you! My best advice is to report these people to the management for EVERY little thing...I know, we all hate to be "that" person, but in cases of extreme neighbors, it's best to document each incident! |
