Anyone in the Northwest or Alaska? I realized I'm not ready to grow up quite yet. There is just still sooo much I want to do and experience before I settle down. My family jokingly calls me the "wanderer". but anyhow, I'm graduating in may and considering either working on a ranch in WY, Montana, ID or somewhere in Washington, ORegon, or alaska for the summer just to experience something completely different. So whats the weather like up there during the summer? Any particular ranches, etc you would recommend? None of theplaces i'm lookng at allows pets so that means I'll be away from my babies all summer, which makes me sad. But i want to do this kinda thing whil i'm not tied down yet. |
Washington has different climates depending upon which side of the state you are in. The coastal side is milder. The eastern side is more like Idaho and Wyoming with hot summers and cold and snowy winters. You might like Wenatchee or Yakima in Eastern WA, lots of orchards etc. |

There is no where like Alaska I can prepare you for the good and the bad! This is a one of a kind place to live! Our summers can vary (depending upon which part of the state you are in) Anchorage/Mat-Su Borough Area you are looking at between 55 & 80 degree weather in the summer Move to Fairbanks and you reach 90+ degree weather in the summer On the swing side of that Anchorage/Mat-Su weather is MUCH milder than Fairbanks. We(Wasilla) do get -10 in the winter but Fairbanks... ah Fairbanks sees -30 or less. I can hook you up! I'm a Realtor and no matter what part of Alaska you are considering, I can help you out (or set you up with someone that can :-) |
Sharonandtink (or is it Shanonandtink) and Alaskayorkie are both located in Alaska. |
