Is there a way to refuse mail? I keep getting mailings from a particular place and they will not stop- it's not a catalog or anything, so I'm not sure there is a number where I can call and tell them to stop. Plus I don't wanna waste my time (and cell phone minutes) on the phone. Is there a way I can refuse the mail? I think I remember my mom writing "REFUSED- RETURN TO SENDER" on the package and throwing it back in the mail. Can I still do that? Any suggestions? |
Yes you can do that and also you can put "Return to sender moved with no fowarding address" |

That's exactly what you need to do. |
yep i agree! |
Another tip...when you get your bills and such with all the advertising in it..send it back to them with your payment..let them dispose of it. |

you can just mark it return to sender and give it to the post office. You can also add yourself to the "federal do not call list" so that advertisers and such can not contact you...and if they do you can sue. :) |
I heard of someone one time getting the circular, shredding it and mailing it back in the company's prepaid envelope. Then they not only got it back, but had to pay for it, too!:p |
Thanks everyone! I'm glad I know now. |

I've heard of someone doing the same thing (minus the shredding)! |
My husband kept getting junk from an organization. We called them and asked them to take his name off their list but junk kept coming. so we started returning it (to sender) but we still kept getting it. I finally wrote "deceased" on one and sent it back. We got one more after that but it finally stopped.:) </IMG> |

It could just be wishful thinking! LOL |
I used to take all my junk mail with the return envelopes and fill them full of garbage paper to add weight and then mail them back, as they were postage paid envelopes. They would have to pay the extra postage for the extra weight. Now I don't get as much junk mail, so I just toss the things I do get. |
