Sonic Coffee Drinks
 

Okay, last month, I was in Oklahoma and my daughter & I stopped at a Sonic to get a drink...well, they had really awesome looking coffee drinks...hot, iced, mixed w/ ice cream, different flavors, etc. They were soooo yummy :dribble:

BUT for a month....I have been looking and asking at all Sonics (okay, we don't go that often) that we stop at....and here, they don't have any coffee drinks...and they have no clue what I am talking about. Isn't that weird? I figured all Sonics carried the same things....:scratchhe

Does your Sonic have the coffee drinks????

AND today, we stopped to get drinks and they have those little cheesecake bites again.....they had them last year around the holidays with strawberry sauce. They are YUMMY :dribble:
This year, they come with a cinnamon caramel sauce.

Both of the Sonic's I go to (one by home, one by work) have hot and iced coffee drinks. I haven't tried them though. We don't have cheesecake bites right now though, but they replaced cheddar poppers with mac and cheese bites. Seems interesting...

Oooo...I seen those little fried mac and cheese things...we never tried them.
Well, I'm upset that the Sonics around here do NOT have the coffee drinks! I bet they are just a new seasonal thing, but we should have them by now...or I would think.......oh well!

Yes, those coffee drinks are so yummy! I've never tried the cheesecake bites though but I absolutely love the coffee drinks with ice cream.

I really do love Sonic, but their prices are so high! I tried to boycot them for such outrageous prices, and it only lasted a few days because my only other closest choices are whataburger and McD's. Sonic it is!

Good thing I'm gonna have dinner soon or I'd be out the door.

I went to Sonic today and ours has the coffe drinks i started to order one. I also saw the cheesecake bites

I don't remember seeing coffee drinks here either. I wanted to try those little cheese cakes, but I don't really need them. LOL

I do not have a Sonic where I live but see the commercials all the time for them and really want to go there....everything looks so tasty!

I've never heard of Sonic..... :( I'm assuming it's kind of like a Starbucks or Caribou?

I haven't been to a Sonic in a while so I don't know about the coffee drinks but I know they do vary their menu by location. Years ago I had a really yummy grilled cheese at a Sonic in TN. Not one Sonic in FL that I have found has them. I've tried Sonics in 3 different cities- no grilled cheese. Do they think Floridians don't appreciate a good grilled cheese?!:p

Im soooooo jealous! They dont have Sonic in NY - but they show the commercials - its such a tease. Their drinks look sooooooooooooo good

We've had the coffee drinks here in NE Texas since this summer, so I don't think they are seasonal. The grilled cheese is great, and our prices aren't bad at all. NO..I don't work for Sonic:D

We dont have Sonic's here in NYC :( I have never seen one or even been to one but yet they have commercials on TV promoting it and yet the majority of people here have never even heard of that!

But have some friends that used to live down south and in the midwest and they said its great. i am jealous! Send some of that good food over here!

We grew up with it in KS, and they have half priced burger night too! Then my sister moved to MI and was devastated that they aren't nationwide. We take her to one whenever she visits. It is very similar to Jack in the Box but I think their food is bigger and greasier at Sonic. They have a big selection, full menu all day, and you can pull up instead of going through a drivethru. Can you tell I like it?

Oh, but no tacos at Sonic, so I guess it isn't as similar to Jack in the Box...

I can't really comment on the coffee drinks because I HATE coffee :sickie: but I will say that not all Sonics are the same. While we were building our house, we got in the habit of getting the family size popcorn chicken because it was so easy to eat while working. Well, come to find out a Sonic out of town charges about 2-3 bucks cheaper for that same family size. And another one out of town I stopped at once didn't even offer the family size. Didn't know what I was talking about. I actually held on to my receipt from that cheaper one for a long time thinking that the next time I went to the one in our town, I'd show it to them and get it cheaper but I doubt they would do that..... and then the receipt faded so much I threw it away. My favorite at Sonic is the tator tots with cheese! AND the Vanilla Coke. I know other places have that drink but it's something about their styrofoam cups with the little bitty ice that makes it so good!

Oh! And remember when Sonic would hang those little plastic things on the side of your cup? The little plastic monkeys?? Boy, I'm sure dating myself now but that was a kick to us when we were little. Loved those little monkeys! :D

Shoot! I remember (and still have a set) when they had the trays that hung on your window! Got those from my grandma! :rolleyes:

hehe! That was cool too. Now they have to hand it all to you and wait while you pass it around the car. Don't know why they ever quit using the trays.

Oh I know just what you mean about the cups and ice. I haven't has their vanilla coke but anytime I get a diet coke in a styrofoam cup with that little ice (I call it rabbit pellet ice :p ) it is sooo good!

That is the only reason we actually go to Sonic.........to grab a drink! Did you know, you can buy a bag of that pellet ice from them??? We do a lot of car shows and just driving around in our classic cars...and a lot of times, we will all have an ice chest.....we will stop and get a bag to refill our cups. I think they only charge $2 for the bag........well worth $2....then, we just reuse our big sonic cups/straws and refill with a drink from home! :thumbs_up :dribble:

I LOVE their grilled cheese! They have them at my Sonics. My other favorite is a chili cheese coney with onions - withOUT the weiner! Sometimes they look at me weird but I know I'm not the only one who orders it that way. ;)

Can you say AMEN to an everyday Happy Hour from 2-4:30!!! Drinks are half priced!

My fave things at the moment besides drinks --
Mac N Cheese Bites (not on the menu but they still have'em at mine)
Cheese Cake Bites (like the caramel better than the strawberry last year)
Grilled Cheese (no butter or oil)
And just like Tatum's Mom.... I used to eat their burgers until I had unfortunate experience last year at Christmas. Nothing wrong with it but with the kinda sick I was and that was the last thing you ate, it ruined it for me.
