Anybody been to the Bahamas We just saw an advertisement for The Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas and have decided we want to take a vacation there. Has anyone stayed there? What all do you reccomend doing in the Bahamas? This hotel looks awesome. You can swim with the dolphins, there are waterslides and lazy rivers, and there are huge tanks with fish in them that you can in the hotels and restaurant. They also have a beach front |

But lots of things to do...if you like water sports..tons of that...shopping...tons of that....then we went on a little excursion to the island where the Blue Lagoon was filmed and then we did a pet the dolphin thing and saw the Island that's the opening shot of Gilligan's Island....the weather was awesome and oh The Atlantis has a casino too! We loved it and I would definitely go back again. Oh and don't forget to go on some taste testings if you like rum, etc. :D |
we have been there also.:thumbup: By far the best vacation I have been on. There was so much to do. We went jet-skiing, relaxed, went out on a banana boat, and so many other cool things. They even made us a pina colada right out of a coconut! There is also a ton of shopping outside of the resort. I would definitely recommend taking a vacation there. We also did a one day get-a-way thing were they took us to this island and we snorkeled and walked around. The water is beautiful, clear, and warm! We are hoping to go again soon. |
We've been there. We went on a cruise, it's beautiful and hot! lol take a lot of sunscreen, i got burnt! There's a lot to do |

I went to the Bahamas a few years ago. It was an amazing vacation. We stayed at the Wyndom on Grand Bahama Island. I'd reccomend getting hair braided, swimming in the ocean (the fish are incredible) and definetly swimming with the dolphins! |

I used to goto the Lucayan Beach hotel all the time for spring break. What a party. In the main court yard across the street by the Pizza Hut they would do limbo dancing and a band played all night. It was great. Its been years though, so I don't know what its like now. What I though was really neat was when I was there, was that they had this little hut across from the hotel and we had no idea what it was. In the end it was a police office and the man standing out front was a cop. He was decked out in a white suit and no guns just a billy club. Keep Mexico I'd goto Bahamas all the time. I even liked it better than Grand Cayman. |

Megan you are so right - it was so much fun to get your hair braided on the beach...I say do it right that first day you are there so you can enjoy it more....I sorta was chicken at first and didn't do until middle of vac but I didn't do all my hair they did certain strands and it looks really cute. :D The food was awesome too! |

oh yeah the food was amazing! and the fruit is always SOOO fresh because they grow it right there. There is this awesome (non-alchoholic) drink called a Red and White. It's strawberry mackery (sp) and pina colada togther. If they have that available, you MUST get it! |
