I sold a pair of dog pjs on Ebay for 3.25 a few weeks ago. I listed them as New w/o tags since that's what they were. I purchased them from another seller on Ebay who makes dog pajamas.

Because I didn't list them as "handmade", the purchaser on Ebay wanted their money back. I said that was fine, to just ship them back and I would refund the 3.25.

I was so nice about it and the purchaser is literally throwing a hissy fit that I won't refund shipping. All this over 3.25? I'm sooo put off by this. The pj's were in perfect condition, serged edges, completely professional :confused:

Has anyone here had a difficult ebay experience? I rarely sell anything there and I wouldn't expect to have such a hassle over such a small thing!

There are allways those crazys every once in a while. If I ever have problems its usually with dead beat buyers, and they either pay up or have not paid other sellers and get banned.

So far everyone I've sold to has paid, but this person seems to just want to argue. I charged 5.00 shipping and actual shipping came to 3.00 but I always include an extra 1.00 or so for packaging, fees, ect. So she's throwing a major fit, even though I stated the method I was shipping and the shipping price in the auction.

*sigh*

You could all ways move it to the "dispute" stage.

I do too! I am always really understanding and want the purchaser to be happy. I describe all my items well and am fair with shipping so I'm a little upset to be talked to the way they were over something that cost 3.25 :thumbdown I think I made $2.00 on the sale, so it's not like I was making out like a bandit here.

I've responded very politely so I guess I'll see if I end up getting the item back and I will refund her the purchase price.

I guess I just wouldn't bother to send something back for a $1.50 refund after return shipping, when the item is described correctly. Oh well!

I will never ever buy anything from ebay!!!! I dont care how good a deal something is or how cheap whatever I hate it! I have had nothing but the worse experiances I'd rather pay full price and be a lil broke then have to deal with the hassel lol!!! It sucks that there are nice people buying stuff and selling stuff that this stuff happens... i stay out of it lol

What do the pj's look like? We love pj's!

you are NOT obligated to refund shipping ... and I do not think "buyer's remorse" is a reason to ask for a refund. What did eBay say about it?

sometimes it is best to simply do the refund AFTER you get the pjs back ... and hope she does not leave negative feedback to be nasty!

Well she was upset that I didn't list it as handmade, but to be honest I didn't even think to. It was purchased from a seller on Ebay that only makes pajamas and the quality looked like anything I would buy from a store, it just did not have a "brand name" tag. I didn't list it as a brand though, just stated pj's that fit chest/length size, nwot.

I didn't contact Ebay about it yet, but if she keeps harassing me I think I will. I haven't heard back since I told her I wasn't going to argue about it, lol.

Oh Kristi, lol they are about 10 times too big for your little girls, hehe. They were bought for Emma who's a 7 1/2 lber :p

Im so sorry you had that happen, Ebay is just a whole other world, it can be quite nuts and frustrating to sale on there and all for very little money. I stopped selling on there a long time ago becuase people were insane. Thats all Im going to say about that, lol :p

I have had good experiences with eBay ... but I also never got anything i did not want ...
we all have different things we want... I have found most people nice, but I am a buyer, not a seller ....

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had issues there, lol.

Right now, I have a non paying bidder on an expensive item so it's very very frustrating playing the waiting game with someone I know is not going to pay.

I cancelled my store immediately and will stick to my website from now on! I don't even want to sell my random items on there anymore, it's so frustrating!

I'm sorry you're having so much trouble. It is not worth it for 3.25 IMO!!! Some people just need to have something to gripe about.

PS - Who sells the PJ's? :p I just made myself some pants, but I want doggy ones!!

If she was being nice I would probably refund BUT because she is being so difficult.....I would tell her to do what she has to to. She will leave negative feedback but Ebay now allows you to make a remark under the negative feedback so you can defend yourself. You can say, "Offered FULL refund but she was impossible to please!"

(Note: Rarely do online stores ever offer free return shipping so why should Ebayers)

I had a simlar situation years ago. I sold one of my DH's golf bags. The buyer sent me really ugly emails because he was not pleased with the golf bag so I offered to fully refund. He wanted to me refund him (to include shipping) THEN we would ship back to me. I told him that my policy is the same as any retail store....when the item was returned then I would refund. Then he did something really stupid. He posted a really negative feedback on my profile!!!!!!!!!! I could not believe it...I quickly replied to him and told him that my offer to refund was no longer an option due to the negative feedback he had left on my profile. My exact words, "Due to the negative feedback, you are now the proud new owner of the golf bag"!!!! How dare him leave negative feedback when I was trying to work with him.

So I wouldn't worry about one negative feedback. Plus you can leave negative feedback for her too. She should not be so difficult.

I would tell her refund purchase price and that's that! I have had all good experiences on ebay too.

tell her to resell them on Ebay to make her money back. LOL
