No more U Tube!
 
A while back my employer blocked MySpace from our network now I find out the have blocked U Tube. My computer at home is a mess. What am I going to do? How am I going to see all of those wonderful videos of my friends puppies!!!!! I am sooo bummed out now.
I guess they will be blocking YT next. (Then I will be forced to quit.)....(work that is)

YouTube, Myspace, and Facebook are all blocked at my work :( It's like they actually expect you to WORK the entire time youre there! PSSHH!

Have you tried getting in with a proxy, there are a lot of them out there....:p

When I was at school, they blocked them on all of the computers. So I had to get a wireless laptop but before then I went to: http://www.peacefire.org/ then from there we clicked https://www.StupidCensorship.com/ .. and then you can type in any website that is blocked

That is too bad!!!
My DH had to block all his staff from the internet!! None of the staff was getting their work done. He hired a company to monitor the amount of time the staff was on the internet "playing".....it was unbelievable!!!! Some of his staff was on the internet like 6 hours out of the day. He warned them over and over to not take advantage of him and none of them listened. So now they have no internet access. I told my DH I would quit if I worked for him!!!!:D :D :D

All those sites were blocked too and then they took away our internet altogether. Only a couple of computers in our office has it, so if we have legitimate business reasons to be on, we have to go to one of those.

That is interesting but I'm afraid to try it. They monitor quite a bit. So far they are only investigating websites that are hit the most often and we have a couple of thousand computers out there. I will have to get a new computer for home. I don't really want to risk my job.

I feel cheated though because I usually log on during my lunch and eat at my desk while I'm on. I don't take any time away from my work.

Well, anyway I guess I'm not alone!
