I saw a woman get hit by a car today!!!!!!!
 

It was terrible!!!! My DH and I were sitting at a very busy intersection and we were watching this lady jogging. We were talking about why she was jogging in such a conjested area. All the sudden she decides to cross the highway!!!!!:eek: :eek: :eek: She makes it to the center of the highway and stops. The traffic light was red so she decides to dart across 4 more lanes!!!!! :confused: :confused: :confused: Just as she takes off the light turns green....the first 3 lanes stop for her but the 4th lane did not see her!!!!!!! She ran directly in front of this car that was approaching the intersection!! When he hits her it throws her into the air then she slams onto his hood ....then she crashes into the windshield ...then that impact throws her out in front of his car into the street!!!! She lays there for a few seconds....by the time the guy jumps out of his car she is getting up on her own!!!!!!!:eek: :eek: :eek: We sat there in shock!!!!
She could have been killed!!! Once we saw she was up we went on because people were blowing their horns for us to go.
Anyway...I hope she is ok. She has to have some broken bones!!! I will have to check the newspaper tomorrow to see if the accident is in the paper!!

That's horrible! Reminds me when I was hit by a car when I was younger.

Oh that's horrible. I've seen it twice, the people I saw however did NOT get up, they were seriously hurt. It's like they were these cardboard boxes being tossed in the air. It's freaky

Your right....it was like she weighed nothing but trust me she was a big woman (I don't mean that bad but she was not some skinny little thing)...even being as big as she was ...she was tossed around like she was a feather!!! I am now wondering if she only jumped up so quickly because she thought she was going to be ran over if she continued to lay there.

That is horrible and I hope too that she was okay...but what was she thinking. People need to use common sense and crossing a busy 4 land road against a light is not using her head.

Yes, that was a NICE unexpected ending. I'll bet she's going to be very very sort for a while tho.

That sounds AWFUL.

Though it kind of reminds me of Dane Cook's act on seeing someone getting hit by a car. But its SO not funny if its really happening.

I've seen someone get hit once. My friend Mike. It's so scary, especially those few seconds/minutes that they lay there...when you don't know if they're OK.

OH MY GOODNESS! I hope she is okay too! It is amazing that she got up on her own!
I couldn't imagine how the person in the car felt....I know that with three lanes of traffic next to them, there would be no way to see the lady jogging!
How horrible! I hope you all are okay too! I know, I would be replaying this in my mind/dreams for awhile.

oh my goodness! i hope she got away with just bruises. I got knocked down when i was in my teens and was just badly bruised thankfully.
Just 2 nights ago a 14 year old boy was knocked down and killed near here, his father works in the same building as me, i can't imagine what they must be going through, it happened practically right outside their home too.:(

My college roommate hit a girl with her car once, and it made this huge dent in her winshield and the glass cracked all over it! She was TERRIFIED! She wouldn\'t get in her car for days after that! I mean, I\'ve hit a deer before and that shook me up so bad, but could you imagine seeing a person fly up over your hood? I hope everyone in this situation is ok!!

Was there any word about her condition in the paper today?? I hope she is ok!! That would have been terrifying..

You guys are right....I have replayed it over & over in my mind!!! It was horrible to see it happen.
There was nothing in the paper today that I saw. So I hope she is OK.
