 Yuck! That is gross! Good thing you have a great sense of humor. OMG! I don't know what I would have done. Although I've never found a glove in my food, I did find a live worm crawling around in my salad once at Bennigans and a long hair on a plate at Applebees. Guess sometimes it happens...... |

Me too... A while back we ordered food from a pizza place and while eating I started to break out in hives and a rash and my throat got real tight so, after me kicking and screaming and fighting with Mike off to the ER I went. Of course we called the place to ask if they wore latex gloves while cooking their food and of course they said no. By the time the ER doc saw me the episode started to pass. So glad it wasnt major cause I think I would of died lol the wait was so long. We never ordered from that place again A few weeks ago we were at saladworks and there was a shrimp in my salad. Im sure most people would of been thrilled with that I about puked. I loathe seafood. They gave me my money back no questions asked. All I can say is thank god I inspect everything I eat. Mike says im neurotic but I would of about died and puked if I bit into a shrimp |
Makes you wonder about all the stuff weve all eaten and dont know about! Cooking at home is sounding better and better all the time! They could have given me a $10,000.00 GC and I still wouldnt eat there again......we were eating at Denny's once a long time ago and I got texas toast....it was soaked in PINE SOL! I was like *%(*%( last time at Denny's! |
I work at a restraurant and I have seen things over the years that...well, things I try hard not to think about when I'm out eating. You have to realize that everyones hair does fall out...hopefully it is clean. However, if you want to make sure your dishes and silverware are clean...eat at home. We have plenty of college graduates where I work, some with masters or working on them...now with that said, the majority of people that work in the rest. field aren't um....highly educated. Some are convicts on parole, some just idiots that think its funny and ok to pick up food that has been dropped and serve it. Or spit in someones food. It amazes me that a person can think it is ok just because you have a high maintenance person in. I encourage you...eat at home...unless your in my area on Friday lunches, Saturday dinners and Monday dinners...:D Hey, momma needs money too! |
Not sure how I would have reacted but you did well. I'd like to think I would have done the same thing. YUK!!!!:( |
Well I missed this thread the first time around so let me go ahead and add my, ewwwwww!:p |

That would have made me sick. I am not a fussy eater, but when I find something STRANGE in my food it makes me ill immediately. Once I found a huge staple in my sauteed spinach at the Union Cafe in NYC. I got a free dessert - but at that point I didn't want it anyway. A glove - that's disgusting!! :( |
I would have asked for $50 in cash so I could spend it in a different place!! |
   I believe I would have upchucked right there! |
Oh eewww... my mom is SERIOUSLY allergic to latex! Im sure she would not have handled that so well! LOL You are like me though... laugh and move on. I hope you got a new salad as a free lunch! :) :) |
wow your nice about it i would have just asked the food to be taken off the bill and said no thanks to the gift certificate |
