I wish him the best!!! and hope his recovery is quick and final ... let him know you are there for him. Bless your heart!!! We shall keep your family in our thoughts ... |
I am so sorry. My sister has ruined her life with Meth...she stops for a while I think and then she acts like she is back on it. She has 3 beautiful girls that are paying a heavy price and the close relationship we once had is gone, possibly forever. At least your hubby is seeking help and if he wants to get off of it, it surly can. Just pray and take of yourself and your children. Hugs, Angie |
First of all let me give you a BIG HUG!! My common law is an alcoholic and has been to rehab more times than I can count since we met 4 years ago..its been a living hell watching the person you love suffer. He has been sober for 13 months but I see him slipping away and there isnt a damn thing I can do about it..it hurts my heart so deeply that somedays I wonder how I will get out of bed..let alone go job hunting...the only thing I HIGHLY recommend if you havent done so already is join AL-ANON...asap!!!! You need the support because unfortunately when you live with someone who is as sick as he is you end up getting just as sick or sicker and need the help too. Without Al-anon I dont know where I would be right now...if you EVER EVER EVER need to talk..PLEASE pm me or we can chat on msn or yahoo...whatever you like..I know where you are at and where you are going..I can be there for you and support you anytime day or night..you can even call me anytime too...DO NOT BE AFRAID TO ASK!!! We all need help when we live with addiction..it is a family disease.. Dawn |
I am so sorry:( |
I am sorry for what your family is having to endure right now. I am a firm believer and a living testament that God WILL get your attention, if he's got to break your knees to do it. It's called chastisement (others call it bottoming out) and I thank Him for it daily. Trust me your husband knows and undertands what his addiction is doing to your family but is helpless against it. He cannot do it alone. I didn't go the rehab route, there was no time for that...I had overdosed and was all alone. Just one long night on my face before God, just me and Him. I have never been the same since. Pray constantly for your husband sweetie, a lot of addicts know what they need to do, but only use Him as a last resort. I don't know that much about meth but could write you a book on the C word. It can be done, I promise. Hold on to your faith and don't look back...I will hold you and yours up in prayer on this end. |
thank you everyone. |
