I been having a hard few months. Had to have two surgeries and still in pain. Dealing with living with my ex. Other things as well.

NOW things are finally looking up. I am going to buy a house!!! Lots of very cheap one up near my family. Will be my first time owning my own home.
One place is huge and divided into apartments. Its VERY VERY cheap BUT it needs alot of work. I figure I can get one unit in a livable condition then can slowly transform the rest of the place back into a house. I am going to go see it tomorrow and see just how much work it will need.

I have a few other houses to look at as well. I should hopefully have the process started for a house of my own VERY soon.

I am already packing to put some of my stuff in storage. I can't wait to find the perfect house for me, aurora, and jasmine.

My biggest issue right now, is this pain. I can't really work because of my back. The doc says all the stones are gone so I shouldn't have pain. I am wondering if I hurt my back when I fell in kmart in sept. Going to talk to my doc and see if he thinks that I need to see another doc. I was bad after the fall, was even in the er a few nights later. Hoping docs can find out why I hurt and get it fixed.


If I like the really big and cheap house, my mom said she will pay for it and I will do a land contract with her. That will help alot since I can't afford to put it all down with not being able to work.

Thinks are getting better...hoping things will keep getting better.

about to leave to go see the big cheap house tonight. I am so nervous. I am not sure how bad of shape it will be in. Taking a camera with me.

Have a few other houses to look at as well.

I saw the house today and it needs some work but not nearly as bad as I feared it would be for the price. I need some new windows and doors. BUT all electrical wiring is new just needs to be connected to the box but my bro is an electrician. Newer furance and water heater. The stairs has this opening where a stain glass window use to be, my mom does stain glass so that is easy to replace. Beautiful dark wood and moldings.

Should own it in like a week.

I finally remembered to take pics while I was there. I have them in a folder in photobucket if anyone wants to see them. like I said it needs work...lots of hard work BUT it has great potential. Alot of the pics show what I need to fix so I could make my list.


I found the perfect dining room set today. Its an antique table and 6 chairs, a buffet and a hutch type thing. All carved wood and just beautiful. Will have to change the fabric on the chair cushions...but no big deal

menards had paint for $2.99 after rebate we brought extra people since its 4 cans per household. My mom got 3 cans and I got 13 cans. So I got most of the paint for the house!!!

No the back is not better. I was in er for it a few nights ago. Pain was so bad that I was throwing up and even passed out. Got some muscle relaxers to help. I see the doctor on the 27th. The er thinks I need an MRI, they think I might have ruptured a disc.

I think an MRI would be a great idea. Then you can know what's really going on. If you fell at a store, maybe they will pay for all of it. Wouldn't hurt to try. I hope you have a good outcome from your visit. Patty

we contacted kmart, through the name and number they gave me for the person handling my accident report case. She was extremely rude. Had me about in tears, if I tried to talk, she would talk over me. She said I would have to pay for the medical bills with my settlement when I get one. She then tried to tell me my case was closed. My mom talked to her then after that. She tried to talk over my mom. My mom said like 2-3 times, that she let her talk so she deserves the same respect. My mom tried to explain with me having no insurance no doc is really wanting to do stuff like MRI and such and wait until I get a settlement. She asked if there was a way to have them explain to doc that IF proven their fault, they will pay for it. She told my mom in a very snotty way that IF I choose to pay the medical bills out of the settlement thats my choice. My mom contacted a doc found out about making payments on a MRI. They told my mom to call back and ask for a certain number. The woman started to give it to her, then stopped and started flipping out, asking how she knew about that number. Again talking over my mom. My mom said stop talkiing over me, I showed you that respect, now you are starting to P*ss me off, and that might not be in your company's best interest right now. All the sudden she stopped talking over my mom and gave her the number. Then told my mom that I will need to fill out a medical record release form for them. My mom just said mail it. She only really wanted me to get Kmart to take care of medical....now she is ready to sue after how bad we were treated. I went back to that kmart and that door is still not fixed and this happened in sept. They have it blocked with a shelf and a cone :rolleyes: at least more than they had before, but still didn't fix it after they knew.

Is there any way that y'all could talk to a supervisor or something. That is just soooo wrong to be treated that way. We have several news stations that have people you can contact to help in situations like this. Do you have anything like that where you live. I am so sorry that this is happening to you. I know how it feels to live with pain.

my mom asked to talk to a supervisor and the woman refused. So now my mom says the lawyer can talk to the rude woman and he can handle it. I am not a sue happy type person BUT I been hurt bad and they are wanting to treat me bad. They don't even fix the prob so others don't get hurt. The day it happened the store manager even promised to call and check on me the next day...never happened. The even knew that the door leaked, the store manager was like oh yeah forgot it leaks when the wind blows right. Another employee whispered second time today. So I take that to mean I was the second person to fall that day :mad:

I can't believe that she refused to let your mom talk to a supervisor. Is there another number you could call? I don't believe in filing lawsuits but I think in your case you really have legitimate reasons. I'm sitting here just furious for what you are going thru.

we were only given the number for this lady. Figure we are done dealing with her ourselves. We tried to handle it without lawyers....but they pretty much treated us like crap. I would have been just happy to get medical bills taken care of. I am misisng out on work. I am very lucky that friends have offered help with the house because with my back like this I can't do much.My ex even stopped being a butthead....sorta, and has offered some help.

The medical record release has arrived already but my mom says not to sign it until lawyer looks at it.

I wouldn't sign anything either. I would look on the internet for the main office of K Mart and get in touch with them.

sorry haven't been on much, my mom's lawyer was just checking on the house to be 100% everything was in order. They were checking very throughly because they thought it was a too good to be true deal. On friday it was 99% ready for papers to be signed, should hear more today. I had an MRI on thursday, so should hear the results of that today as well. I was told some back injuries don't show up on MRI's or anything, so hoping it shows up so they know how to treat it. Someone told me that their mother had a ruptured disc (thats what doc's think is wrong) and that once she had surgery, she no longer had that pain when she woke up. Of course she had pain from the surgery, but the pain she had b4 was already gone.

Crazy thing that happened last night, my ex and I have a rule, you can not bring someone in the home unless both have met them. Not saying in future to bring them over only when other is there, just so both know who is in the home. Well my ex is starting to date and he told the girl, you have to meet my ex before you come over. She thought he was a liar and that he wasn't single. We talked on the phone last night and got along great. We then started talking online. We are all suppose to get together friday for us to all meet, by the time we were done talking, she wanted to meet b4 friday. We are talking about wanting to be friends. She lives up by my new house and she is talking about wanting to come and help paint. Never thought I would make friends with the new woman in his life...LOL.

Hi, did you hear any results yet. My dad had ruptured discs....twice. After he had surgery, he was great...no more pain. That was years ago too so I am sure now the surgery would be so much easier and quicker recovery. Good luck. Are you seeing an orthopedic dr.?

still waiting to hear the results.... the wait is killing me. I have already taken 3 muscle relaxers today and still in pain.
