102.9 degree fever Out of nowhere! I have felt tired, but otherwise a little better today. Then I started getting chilly so I put on a long sleeve shirt under my t-shirt. I was still cold so I put a sweatshirt on top of that. After 3 shirts, a pair of sweatpants, socks, snuggling under a comforter on the couch with Susanah, and me STILL freezing, I figured I'd better take my temp. I took some Motrin. Hopefully it will start coming down so I can get some sleep. So much for cleaning some more on the house tonight. |
Oh my! I hope you get better soon. |
Wow! That sounds serious! Do you think you should get that checked out? Yikes!!!! I hope you are feeling better soon! |
Uh oh - it seems like everyone is getting sick! This weather!! I hope you feel better soon |
If the Motrin doesn't bring it down in the next hour or two I guess its yet another trip to the ER. I really don't want to go back there if I don't have to. There really isn't anything they can do for it that I can't do here at home. Thats what sucks so much about being sick for so long. When you keep going to the ER and they keep not finding out what's wrong with you they start to think you are faking it and/or just trying to get drugs. They start to not take you seriously and treat you differently. My grandmother spent a lot of years working in the ER as an RN. That's what happened the last time I went. I pretty much got the cold shoulder even though it was another doctor who sent me there. |
Ooh - have you been feeling this way for awhile? |
Yep - for several months. Since late August/early September. I have another thread someone around here about it. Thanks for all the get well wishes. I think I'm going to go lay down and try to feel better. Tomorrow is my son's 11th birthday and I don't want to be sick and not be able to enjoy it with him. |
I think I remember one of your old posts. :( If it's that post your symptoms sound a lot like my moms. She kept calling her doctor and asking for help but they wouldn't because they couldn't find out what was wrong. The receptionist yelled at her because she called asking for medication to help and the doctor got to the point she refused to even talk to mom. They should feel bad now because she was eventually diagnosed and she wasn't making it up. It's kinda hard to fake all that stuff. |
Aeerica, I hope you feel better soon!! I hate to run a fever it makes you feel so bad. :getwell: :getwell: :getwell: |
That is just terrible....I hope they figure out what it is soon. The not knowing is the worst feeling in the world :( Keep me posted :big_hug: :big_hug: |
Thanks ya'll. I am feeling better this morning. No fever and only a slight headache. I have an appointment to see a neurologist Tuesday. I don't know why. The doctor I saw last week wanted to make an appt with one ASAP. I have a TON of housework to hurry and do. My grandma will be here soon and the house looks like a tornado hit it. :( |
Glad you are feeling better! Let us know how your appt goes with the MD. Hope you have a fun day with your family! Don't work to hard!! Tell your son all the Y T momma's said:bigbdaypa |
Don't do TOO much if you feel sick. Just the most obvious stuff! LOL! Take breaks in between. Your grndma is coming to see you, not the house! |
Oh thank you! I will definitely tell him! |
Feel better soon:love: The flu is NASTY this year, ugh! Hugs!!! |
