Ever heard of this toy poodle breeder?
 
These little poodles are so cute. Anyone know anything about her? I didn't know poodles came in the mixed colors.http://www.fillingamekennels.com/puppies.htm

I haven't but I love the spotted one! Looks like a fluffy dalmatian.

That is exactly what I thought. So different looking, I thought he was so cute.

There are three "red flags" on her page to me-
She seems to have a LOT of litters at one time.

She breeds mixed breed dogs.

she breed "tea cups"

Did you see the little red sister and brother? That was the color my Daxton was. But he had a more "babydoll" face. It was still a slim poodle face but not quite as long. There could be flags there (honestly, I didn't look at the whole site) but in her description at least of the red ones, she does caution to use the female to breed only to a smaller male and then only if you are an experienced breeder. I don't know, I'd have to look it all over again. I do see the prices are pretty high..... don't know what the normal price for poodles are these days. Dax was only $350 but that was nearly 20 years ago.

You are right about that, And I don't like Christmas puppies ads at all.

I wondered why she had so many litters too, and then I saw the word "teacup", that usually is a red flag. Just wanted som advice, I am having a tough time finding any toy poodle breeders that have what lookk like a poodle.

those are really cute puppies

but in the "bitches and dams" section she has 17! females.. how can you take care of so many? they each need love and a few pictures in the "candid photos" section are of the females in cages! i hate that

There is an excellant breeder on here that only breeds poodles and yorkies. One male and female of each. her username is mstpluma or something like that. there is a link to her website on my website. or you could just liike her up here. I know the first few letters are mstp. She bought one of my yorkie babies and is a very nice person. She recently had a litter of poodles and posted them in the breeders section.

I don't know, I wish I could of seen the site :( I clicked on the link to opened it and Norton said that there was a Virus Thread found. It froze my computer, I had to reboot and then come back and remove the threat it found.

I have no idea why that happened but I couldn't see the site :(

Thanks EVERYONE, this is one of the reasons I love this place, such great advice. I didn't even see the cages, thank goodness someone pointed that out. Your right how could she take care of so many females...I did look at the member on here...she doesn't have a black available on her site. If anyone comes across any good breeders let me know, I so have fallen in love with this breed.

Hi Dee,

Thanks for thinking of me!! We only had two puppies in this litter, and one has had a home waiting for her since before the breeding, and the other little girl is staying with me. I will have a litter again this time next year hopefully.

I checked with the breeder to my black female, and she is not breeding anymore... I do not know anyone else that breeds black poodles.... I will ask around some more and get back to you if I find anyone. If you have any other questions, let me know!

Have you ever heard of this breeder?

I have never heard of her, but her dogs are stunning! The puppies are too cute!!

I was looking in my favorites, and forgot about this breeder: http://www.primrosepoodles.net/ I do not know her, but I have admired her dogs for a long time! She actually lives in the same town as my extended family.

If I want the little girl(she is my favorite) I have to drive 3hrs. to get her in Colombus because she is tiny and that is the only close airport that has a direct flight. The boy can be flown to me here in Charleston,WV because he is bigger.

I think the "spotted ones" are called Parti colored! My sister has had 2 red poodles- the one now is Irish setter RED!!!! aND A VERY THICK COAT! BEAUTIFUL,even though i did buy him for her,after her first passed away of old age!
I love poodles, too! tThey can be great little dogs!

I am getting around $800/plus shipping for a male and anywhere from $800-$1200/plus shipping for a female. I really had no idea they would cost that much. Maybe it is because they are from show lines?? Do these prices sound about right?

They do sound reasonable for a show quality puppy. I would think that if you were to get a limited registration with a spay/neuter contract it would be less than if you planned on showing and wanted full registration...

That is what I was thinking. The one I found that I wanted was a female, very small about 4lbs grown. the breeder wants $1200/plus shipping and I would have to go to Columbos to get her at that airport. She would not come down on her, I asked her, even with the spay contract. So now I am going to check out another male she has, I am waiting on pics.

I found one! It is a little boy will be here around Nov. 21, coming from the breeder Kay Amen in Texas. I can't wait!!

Oh, congrats! I hope he turns out to be all that you were looking for in a poodle. You got a black one? Can't wait to see pictures!
