Where to buy bulk buttons? And now for my second weird question of the day... :D Does anyone know where I can buy 1/2 to 1 lb of buttons? The cheaper, the better. :) I'm not super particular about color. |
Check in antique stores, believe it or not. My grandma is a button collector, and she buys them in lots from auctions and estate sales. Then, she goes through them, and takes out the "good ones" but is always left with extras that aren't worth much. She puts those in bags or jars, and sells them for CHEAP-maybe $4 for a quart-sized bag or so. I know she goes to other antique stores across the country when they travel, and finds buttons like this everywhere-plus, you get a lot of variety in sizes, shapes, and colors, all in one bag. |
One time I bought a bag of colorful ones in a variety of sizes for some craft project with children at the fabric store - they were just bagged up. You might want to check the craft stores too - not sure what you're using them for. |
Craft store should have them. Try Hobby Lobby. What are you doing??? |
Thanks guys. I want to make some of these button wreath ornaments. http://www.marthastewart.com/article...reath-ornament |
Thats a cute idea!!! |
Have you been down to fabric row? Or flea markets if there are any left for the season. |
Joannes has them in all shapes and sizes |
With all the crafty people on here, I would think someone would know of a bulk craft site or something for you....keep checking, I bet you can find something. I seen that wreath.....that is too cute!!!! Will you make me one while you are at it??!! hee,hee :biggrin8: |

It'll probably be a couple of weeks before I start them. Any earlier and I'll lose the stuff by Christmas. |
