I'm living in the stone age First my remote control to the tv stopped working , now the microwave -- how am I suppose to change the tv channel when I have a lap top and 3 lap-animals on top of me?? It stopped working earlier this week - not the batteries - I even took it apart to clean out dust, etc. Anyone know anything about using a universal remote? I don't have one - but thinking that that my 15 yr old tv might need one -- yes, yes, I know I have to buy a new tv soon because of the hd-tv thing Then tonight, I came home and tried to put food in the microwave and well its still frozen - the microwave is shot I think - it's old & huge and has the stove vent built in - it's probably 30 years old or more!! Wow, guess that's old - it's an Amana so it's quality but it reminds me of the first microwave my parents ever bought. I am horribly dependent on the microwave from my morning cups of tea to warming up food, defrosting or the occasional frozen bunch of goodies & I was just going to buy some of those new steaming bags to use in the microwave Just had to vent -- living in the stone age |
I am in my 40's. I don't know how I ever got to this age when we didn't have remotes or microwaves growing up...... let along a pc in every room of the house!!! :D A universal remote will work. You just need to make sure that your tv model is listed in the instructions.... it will walk you through how to program it for your specific tv. Sometimes, you might have to try a couple of frequency sequences. Presto - no problem. |
thanks I'll have to look into the universal remote. Oh, I hate having 2 more things to do - buy the remote & a new microwave - no fun this morning & I just bought some sweet potatoes I was hoping to nuke one to eat tomorrow for lunch! It will take forever in the oven :( |
