It's a lack of conscious. |
Im so sorry that happened. I just dont get people. Can you claim it on your Insurance? |
Thats stinks, I know how you feel, someone stole my hubbys 4 wheeler last yr, he had it chained right out side in our yard:mad: they cut the dam chain and we didnt hear a thing:mad: makes you so mad to think someone was right there in your yard and theres nothing you can do, I hope you can claim it on your insurace, we could not:( |
hey debi trust me beinf only a few miles away from you i know how it is and hear about it alot but have you tried maing a police report and then reporting it to your insureance? i know when theys tole stuff off my husbands truck they came and wrote a report and told me if the value was over 400 then you should turn it tin to your insurance and they may replace it so check that out who knows but check the craigslist.com but justbe careful but i know you you are so check on there and see if someone might have one in good condition you never know ..... |
What a shame! Stuff like that just makes me crazy! I'm sure you have thought of it, but try junk yards. Just call around, they will let you know if they have one or not. |
people have no conscience, but they remember where you park ... Many years ago my hub caps were stolen. I was young and wanted my car to look just right, so I replaced the hub caps ... within 2 weeks they were stolen again ... again, being young and foolish, I replaced them.:2omg: Within 3 weeks, they were stolen again ..:2omg:. now I felt like a supplier ... soooooooo never replaced them again. And when I got a new car I got the hub caps that do not come off but look fancy when on anyway ... (mag wheels???) This was happening at home and where I work. I did not have a garage at the time. Lesson learned the hard way! As usual! to be continued .... |
I would caution everyone ... be careful ---not everyone is Mother Teresa Another lesson I learned ... in my school we always took up collections for people when their parents or spouses passed away .or when babies were born .. or even for the Red Cross ... each class made contributions for Red Cross, and each teacher contributed towards flowers for deaths and other things for joyous occasions ....... The person making the request for the donations always sent the donation in to the Red Cross, or Penny Harvest, or others, in HER name and it became HER tax deduction .... On flowers and such, all names were put on the card but whoever initiated the collection put her name BIGGER and more prominently placed ... I know because I was on the receiving end a few times. Lovely gesture I agree ... but I also noticed those who cared, send singular cards and made donations to whatever organization the death was affiliated with. Suggestions can be made on here as well ... it does not have to be a group thing. I have done things on my own here, and hopefully, it is not necessary, but if i feel like it I still shall ... but I shall be more cautious ... So many on YT are generous of heart and funds ... too many have horror stories ... "gifting" is nice, do it on your own. no one needs to know except the recipient ... then it is grandstanding ... not once did Janell 'grandstand' ... I hope this made sense ... |
The theifs must be pros since they were in and out with the hitch before you knew it. Its a really crappy thing to do. I hope you can work something out so you can still follow your holiday plans. |
Thanks everyone,I haven't turned it into out insurance company, maybe I should. We found a nice used hitch for 300.00. We have never taken our fifth wheel on our annual trips to Texas,so we thought we would give it a try. Although it will be more costly for gas we should break even after saving on Motel, eating out. Plus it will be nice having your own restroom to use along the way. Someone mention that these are heavy, yes they are but its not as wide as the bed of the truck. My husband puts it in and takes it off by himself even though it is a heavy duty 16k rated hitch. Not easliy though. They had to have had a vehicle parked right by it. |
