I just don't have the patience today My 4 year old is on my very last nerve. It just feels like she is finding and pushing every single button I have today. She has done nothing but throw tantrum after tantrum since she walked through the door. She didn't have rest time at school today and boy am I paying the price for it. I had to wash her special "blankie" - she had a meltdown. Put her in her room, she screams louder, put her in time out she screams even louder. Tried to get her occupied with crayons and paper - she threw them. That meant back to time out and more screaming. She took her socks today, well its cold so I told her to put them back on. She had a fit because she couldn't do it by herself. I put them back on her, she walked right into her bedroom and took them off. Back to time out - even more screaming. Everything makes her mad. She is throwing a fit because she doesn't want what I made for dinner. She threw a fit because my son looked at her. She threw a fit because I said no dinner - no candy. She threw a bigger fit when I told her she couldn't go to her Granny's house. She is taking a bath now and I am about to put her little butt to bed. I don't care if it is only 7:30. I understand she is having a bad day, but I am just tired and sick and can't deal with it today. |
I know it doesn't make it any better for you but we've all been there. Sometimes it just seems like they know you aren't at your best and do everything to piss you off. Hope tomorrow is better since I am sure she is in bed by now:D |
I can barely deal with my Yorkie girls, I'd have a nervous breakdown if I had kids! Hang in there! |
Poor kiddo and poor you! She sounds like me when I'm PMSing! |
Lord, I remember those days! It seems like they act out the worst when you're least able to deal with it! Hang in there, it gets better. |
She woke up this morning with a smile and a "I'm sorry, Mommy. I won't be bad NO MORE, OK? I promise, Mommy!" *sigh* Can't stay mad at something like that. I hope she has better day today and keeps her promise. |
Sounds like she is having a really off day!! Needs a good nights sleep too!! When I read things like this I actually am glad to have teens...and thats hard to actually admit lol.. |
are you feeling any better this morning? toddlers are sooooo difficult some times. my dd is 6 and i find myself fighting with her tooooo much!! i've gotten to where i don't even talk to her or respond to her if she is not acting or talking the right way. the problem is that she is just as stubborn as i am...so it gets hard!!!!!!!! good luck!!!!!!! |

Hope today is a good day for you. I have a 4 year old and two 16 year olds I feel like I am going to loose it any minute most of the times. If the boys are into or asking for something little miss Maya gets crazy for a little while. I need to get away for a weekend, but I can't leave Maya. Angie |
Hang in there, it gets better;) Take lots of pictures, kids grow up way too fast. Our son was grumpy one day, I told him he needed to go to bed, we are having a big day tomorrow! He answers, "I don't wanta have a big day" He had such a cute pouty face, I took a picture and put it in his baby book. I named the picture "I don't wanta have a big day" When he turned 21, I gave him his book, he had so much fun looking back on when he was a kid, we laughed all night. Now when he has children of his own is well aware he was that way too:D :D :D |
