Weight Watchers Question I've decided to start following the Weight Watchers program again...I originally started WW in 2003 following the Points system I lost about 40 pounds following the program. So I decided that in order to lose this extra 10-15 pounds i've put on recently I'm going to start WW again but this time on my own. My question is now I know they have two plans the Core and the Flex, I'll be following the Flex plan because it's closest to the points system...anyway back to my question does anyone know what the range of points is for someone who is about 135-140 pounds? I think it used to be like 18-23 but from what i understand the Flex plan is different in that there is only one point number for the day and then 35 flex points for the week...so if anyone has this info and wouldn't mind sharing that would be great! |
Your Weight Right Now / Daily POINTS Target Less than 150 lbs. - 20 pts. 150 - 174 lbs - 22 pts 175 - 199 lbs - 24 pts 200 - 224 lbs - 26 pts 225 - 249 lbs - 28 pts 250 - 274 lbs - 30 pts You get 35 Flex points per week to spend (or not) however you choose. Please note that you cannot carry any of these Flex Points over into the next week. Nursing Mothers Add 10 extra points per day Growing Teens - Females under 16 amd males under 19 should add 2 points to your points target for an extra milk serving. Hope this helps...I just copied it off my paper. |
Thanks so much that's a huge help! And I take it that you have to at least meet that minimum point requirement correct? |

Other things 2-3 cups of milk per day 5 fruits and veggies per day 6 cups of water per day They did away with the 20 minutes a day walking requirement, but you can earn more points based on the number of minutes you walk. I don't have the activity slider nearby. Maybe Janet has hers and can tell you how many minutes you have to walk for each point... Activity points have to be used the same day, but flex points can be used any time in the week. (seems all the same to me, 6 of one, half dozen of the other, but that's the way they say it has to be done  ) |
best of luck on your weight watchers diet. My Husband lost 55 lbs on it. He went off while we were on vacation but now he is going back on it and I am going to do it with him |
Best of luck! WW has been a lifesaver for me. It can get a little challenging with the lower daily points. Remember to get your good guildlines in first. :) I ended up switching to Core when I hit 22 daily points. It was killin' me having to count points for veggies, dairy and meat. Core gave me a little more flexability. So don't be afraid to give it a try if you find your daily points are too limiting. |
