Which program is best? I am wanting to be able to make my own Christmas cards, but I need to edit the pictures that I can put it them. Like I have two seperate pictures that I want to put togethor on one Christmas card. Is there a program that I can use to do both of them in? |
Adobe Photoshop??? But you have to buy it. I'm not sure if there are any download programs like that. |
I use Adobe Photoshop CS2 for everything graphic wise. But yeah, you have to buy it and it's uber expensive. Unless you're a student, sometimes you can get a discount on it. I checked out some programs on www.cnet.com (select downloads) You can download a lot of free trials. It'd give you a chance to try the program, maybe even complete what you need to on it. |
yeah, I was planning on buying a program. Right now I have The Print Shop Deluxe. I know you can make cards, but I don't think you can crop things. |
You can crop pics with Print Shop Delux -- it has a lot of neat features. Maybe if you need a little extra help with the formatting the pics, you can sweet talk some of the picture savvy members to help you out with that part. |
Ok. I just don't know if that program will work on vista. |
I use Photo Impact... In my avatar they did not have the ribbon and sent it to me in the mail... I scanned it and added it to it latter... all the photos on my website were done w/ it including the ones with motion... You can take tutorials online as well for free... there are tuts on adobe too...:aimeeyork |
Wow. That program can do that? I will def have to take some tutorials!!! |
I use the software that came with my camera, by ACD systems. It is a package with ACD Foto Slate, ACD Foto Editor and ACD See (It acquires the image from the camera). With ACD Foto Slate, you can make greeting cards that contain multiple images. Foto Editor allows you to crop, re-size, touch up, etc. You can save the pic and then use Foto Slate to make your cards. |

I have to say, I love love love Adobe Photshop CS2! It is great! Also shutterfly.com is super reasonable for getting them printed up after you have gotten your photos how you want them, and they are FAST! |

I'd love to have Photoshop, but it is sooo expensive  |
Hey Girl - I use several pieces of software. I use PhotoShip, Print Shop, JASC and PowerPoint to get the look I want. So don't limit yourself to one program. Each one offers different features. Just be creative and have fun. Good luck! |

CS2 runs around $500 I think. CS3, which was just released is around $649. Less I think if you already have CS2 (if that's what the upgrade part means) I'm dying to get my hands on CS3 but don't have the $$$ right now. |
I use adobe photoshop 8.0 and I love it! |
You guys gan get PS Elements, and that runs about $100. OR there is The Gimp, which is free... Hope that helps some of you out. I guess my hubby upgraded to CS3...but he needs it, he does photography professionally, so yeah, I just found out about that! hahaha. I still have CS2 haha. Just click that link for the gimp site. |
