She must be in Brooklyn somewhere or maybe n New York., she was my breeder according to Dog Registry of America papers, but I never met her, I would like to find out, and see my baby parents if this possible. In that papers there is a numbers like Sire No. and Dam No. if any other way to find out about my baby parents by these numbers or breeder address or phone #? Do anybody know? Please help |
Tony I was researching breeders and came across this discussion board. I too had noticed this breeder: Tony in Brooklyn. Phone: 646-354-1562, Email: littlegny04@aol.com. After reading the horror stories I got worried about finding someone on the internet. I decided to check it out anyway. The tiny shop was in a really nice area of Brooklyn in Manhattan Beach. You could only go inside by appointment. Inside were only a few very clean cribs witha total of six fat happy healthy puppies. The two daughters of the owner were there to meet me and they could not be nicer. I was thrilled to see such a nice place with people who actually care about the dogs. They set us up with a 'starter' puppy kit that was included in the price -- doggie crate, snacks, food, toys. They also included a vet voucher for a free check up and a very generous five year health guarantee. If you were worried as I was about this breeder go take a look! When I was there I saw one yorkie, two frenchies (one which came home with me!), and three boston bulls. Very impressed! Kathy |

Crate We paid $1500 for a French Bulldog whic was totally reasonable after looking around quite a bit. Maybe because we were from Los Angeles and talked about taking him home with us they threw it in. They even checked with our airline to make sure we could take a dog on the plane with us. They also told us to be sure and send photos of the baby at his new home. And they really seemed to mean it! :-) |
well im glad you had a great experience... |
Yorkie Looker I am looking for a Yorkie and I live in Manhattan and I see that the prices for a dog in New york City are much higher than other places what are the cheapest prices I can get a Yorkie for and where! folt4@aol.com |

Celtic Irish Puppies... I had to respond to someone who posted on here, but it was dated 2005! I came across this site when I googled the breeder. This breeder, actually puppy broker, imports her dogs from Ireland and I've met 7 owners and 6 of them have had BAD experiences from this place. However, all of the pups that came from this breeder whom I 've met were Westies and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I'm sure the breeder isn't selective and onlu sells sick Westies and Cavaliers...I would not recommend buying a dog from this woman - ever. Our story is told on our Dogster page: http://www.dogster.com/dogs/381013/d...s_diary/209943 |

I would definitely NOT recommend Marie Larkin of Celtic Irish Puppies. I've experienced my own horror story and a few too many others. |
RE: Puppy Store in NYC area My family and I have bought all our dogs from S & V Quality Canines (6 in total). The owners have always been courteous, store clean and all of our dogs were healthy and are living or have lived to old ages. If any issues came up, it was handled right away to my or my relatives satisfaction. The store has been around for a long time. I think that says something. |

I got my little guy back in mid-April from the following breeder listed on the YTCA.org referral page: Jack L. Moffitt Englewood NJ 07631-1944 (201) 568-2280 |
Marie from celtic Puppies This is the first time posting here, But after reading about what happened to the dogs from celtic puppies I couldnt believe what I was reading . I got my teddy bear from her I cant say what a great experience it was. Teddy is the best thing that ever happened to our family. He is happy healthy and friendly. Marie was very helpful as it was my first puppy. She helped me in every way. Had to post my experience. I love my Teddy bear!! |
Nice thread so far. Very good opinions and experiences. We are breeders located in a suburb or Reading PA (not too far from NYC). A lovely young couple from NYC just bought a baby girl from our current litter. They told us that they visited and spoke to many breeders before coming across us. We breed typically one or two litters a year. We are very active in raising our babies. Before leaving for the new homes, our babies are wee pad trained, have all their shots on board and are sent to their new homes with a very nice "new home gift basket". The basket includes such things as toys, treats, food, a book on raising a Yorkie, etc. You can read more information about our babies, what to look for when searching for a Yorkie, the horrors of puppy mills, etc on our F.A.Q page at our website - http://www.ferragame.com/FAQ.htm My wife Eileen is a veterinary technician. We ensure our line has no cross breeding, genetic issues or aliments. Five stool samples are taken from each puppy and tested to verify that they have no parasites, each puppy has their fully regimen of shots, and have full physicals not to mention the wee pad training. I believe us to be one of the best breeders you'll find. Period. We breed for the love of the breed. The joy on an owner's face when they come to pick up their new baby is priceless. We only sell to people we believe will provide a loving healthy home to our babies. We've turned down quite a few prospective owners for one reason or another. Or babies will always be our babies to us. We would rather keep every one of them than to send them to a home that just doesn't "feel" right.
