I've never understood people like this. I have seen so many people praise breeders even if there are sooo many other with bad experiences with sick pups, just because they were lucky enough to get a healthy one from them. Even bad breeders are lucky enough to sell some that end up healthy. I for one wouldn't take my chances. That's like going in for major surgery and having a doctor that has only a 10% success rate, and saying, well 10% survived so he must be okay. When there are other doctors out there with a 90% success rate. Don't know about you, but I know who I would go to. |
Do you know of any good breeders in Massachusetts?? |
Devastated It is with the heaviest of hearts that I write to inform everyone that my sweet little Wilbur was laid to rest. Wilbur, in spite of his many issues, managed to have a happy life. I adopted Wilbur from Charlene Pelley back in 2008 and he was sick from day 1. He had three congenital diseases which equated to over $71,000 in medical care over the course of his life. He had a degree of pain on a daily basis - some days it was high and other days it was better. Charlene Pelley KNEW then and KNOWS now that she is bred / breeds sick dogs. You may have gotten lucky, but the majority of us that have adopted from her have felt the pain and the pinch. Worse, the dogs have suffered. There is a special place in hell for people like her. My Wilbur fought for almost 9 years, but this last round was just too much for his little body. F--k you, Charlene and I hope others out there will benefit from staying away from her as well. RIP sweet Wilbur. Mommy loves you forever. |
Jennifer, I am so sorry to hear about Wilbur!!! :( I remember when we figured out that Wilbur is my Mocha\'s brother. It breaks my heart to hear Wilbur had to struggle to live his life. I am so sorry for everything you went through but I know you gave him a wonderful life. I truly hope karma bites Charlene hard in the ass. She deserves to suffer the way she has made her dogs and their owners suffer. Much love to you in this time of loss <3 |
Hi Jennie Great to hear from you! please forgive my tardy reply as I have been unable to talk much about Wilbur\'s passing until recently. I am so glad to hear that Mocha is well. I have thought of him often over the years and hoped he was able to escape the diseases that afflicted Wilbur. They just kept coming, one after the other and once we could get one under control another popped up. He was a very special baby - even with all his many health issues he did manage to have a quality of life in spite of it all. I hate Charlene like poison and I still monitor her activity to this day. I would love the opportunity to show her what she has done. I too hope that Karma bites her. I think it has started because I know of one other person who purchased from her who took her to court - and won. All my best to you and Mocha. Please give Mocha a kiss from me and Wilbur. I miss my little guy so much. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you ever have any questions or needs with Willow. Be well and all my best to you and yours! xoxo |
