Living the Yorkie Life in CT
 

We're new to YorkieTalk and thought that we would start out by letting everyone know where we live!

Chewbacca (Chewie), John and I (Christina) live in New Milford, CT.

Chewie is about 2 and a half years old and wishes that he was here to "help" me type this to you. He's out on a nice long before bedtime walk - and can't wait to meet up with a finger lickin' treat when he gets through the door. We've had him for about 2 months now, and he's becomining acclimated to the groovy lifestyle of John and Christina's world!

Regardless, we've met another Yorkie in our building who's quite a dame. We became fast friends, and ever time we go for walks we look for her! Aside from our Yorkie friend in our building we've only made friends with a poodle across the street - bigger dogs intimidate Chewie, and his reaction is attack mode! The first weekend we had him we were "testing" to see his temperment around other dogs at the Animal Welfare Society's Dog Days of Summer - Chewie decided to "attack" our friends Pitbull. While the other dog involved was totally lovey about the entire incident, it certainly put the fear of the bigger dog in John and I, and we are VERY CAREFUL when we are meeting new "friends" on our walks!

Speaking of walks - I hear the leash hitting the hook right now. Looks like it's time for a little Bacon and Cheddar tasty bit and then we're all off to slumber land! We can't wait to learn more about Yorkies and let everyone know about our life as well!

Hopefully we'll be able to grab a few of Chewie and his gal Bella too! Looks like Bella is moving next week - poor Chewie!
