Very smart of you, Cassie! And how promptly and happily you read and obey commands! We can all see how motivated and excited by your training you are! Mom's got her smart girl highly motivated and obviously well-rewarded. No doubt you don't just work for food reward but Mom's high praise and obvious pleasure in your capabilities. Pleasing Mom, seeing her pride in you, is likely your greatest reward. Very impressive, girl!

I always train using both a hand signal with a verbal command and Tibbe responds to either or both.

What a little cutie Cassie is. I also trained Cody verbal and hand signals, I now use just hand signals, comes in handy when in public lol.

Thanks everyone! Casie is just amazing and so very smart. Both she and Scottie learned first by visual cues and then learned verbal commands afterwards. The visual cues certainly comes in handy at times!

I am so very proud of my little girl. Casie has the most perky and spunky personality, and really loves to please. She always makes my heart melt when she's wagging her tail while she performs her tricks. :rolleyes:

Yes, same here. I love both my Scottie and Casie have the capability to follow both visual and/or verbal commands. It's very useful!

A happy tail is the dead give-away - that dog LOVES to work! Good for her and you for giving her the chance to have a job she loves and know the joy, satisfaction and pride of achievement, along with the pure happiness the bond of communication and teamwork brings. Too many toy dogs don't seem to have that with their humans and are often bored to death with very little work to do.

Yes, so very true! They LOVE to do work during their 'training time' - it makes them so happy, it's the cutest thing ever. It's too bad some toy dogs are just lap dogs and don't get more mental stimulation.
