Rory saw her own reflection in the tv
 
and it freaked her out. The video only lasts about 20 seconds but it went on for about 20 minutes. She kept running behind the tv to find the other dog.

Wait for the day she notices her own shadow, Milo has barked at his own shadow before :) He doesn't much care for his reflections though, I think if he really thought it was another dog, he would react differently.
Anyways, don't you love how fast their small legs zip them away from trouble, Rory was out of there!!

Our old man lays on my lap and seems to watch TV... My knees seem to be his ottoman.:animal36

It's funny you mention shadows. Last night she kept barking at something but no one could figure out what. My husband shined a flashlight on her and said she was barking at her shadow. I was working, but I finally took a minute away to see what the fuss was about. My daughter got a makeup case for Christmas and had left it on the floor in their bathroom. I picked it up and Rory shut up right away and pranced right into the bathroom like nothing happened. I think she was telling on her big sister for leaving things on the floor. ;)

We try the mirror all the time! We have huge ones in both bathrooms and will put her up on the counter and try to get her to notice the "other" puppy, but she's never had any interest in it. Maybe it would be different if the mirror was on the floor like the tv was. I was surprised she reacted that way because she does see herself in a mirror a lot. We had so much fun watching her though. LOL

We have the double-whammy of puppy-shaped shadows on one wall and my dresser with a mirror on the other. So, when Merry Piper runs up onto the bed, her own shadow looks huge on the bare wall, and if she turns around, there's a strange puppy barking wildly at her in the mirror. It's a chaotic bedtime ritual at this point. :animal37:dogsm6::Puppy2::confuse8:

Baxter watches TV and knows the music from commercials with dogs in them... comes RUNNING from anywhere in the house when he hears that music! He jumps up at the screen and often hits the button to turn off the TV.
