Peyton after first grooming Kind of boring, but just gives you a look at Peyton after his first grooming. I hope I post it correctly. It is my first time to post a video so forgive me if I don't get it right the first time. For those of you unfamiliar with my story. I lost my Yorkie baby girl of about 14 years back on July 6th. After 3 weeks without her wonderful companionship, I decided to get another pup, but in my search was fortunate to find this 3 year old, that his owners were looking to "re-home". He has been all I ever hoped for, and is a wonderful companion, very similar to the precious Yorkie I lost to kidney disease. I think I just happened to pick him up exactly one month after losing my baby girl. He has been in dog shows (prior to my getting him). But, I've had to have his hair clipped a little shorter, as he's just a pet now! Here's a video - remember, I didn't say it was funny or exciting. I'll try to get something more interesting in the future, like him chasing a rabbit or something, as he's amazingly athletic and extremely fast. Anyway, here goes: Thanks for looking. I recently took another one this week-end, in which I had just given him a bath, and I think that actually looks a little better with his hair grown out just a little bit more. But, I haven't downloaded it to computer yet. Will do so when I have more time. |
What a handsome boy! His face reminds me of my male. Beautiful! How much does he weigh? |
he is handsome so is the other one :) |
oh they are both gorgeous. they have a nice yard too, lucky doggies... |
Thank you so much for the compliments. For the comments asking about his weight, and the yard...he weighed about 5.5 pounds when I got him, so he's probably not too far off of that now 5.5 to 6 pounds. He has pretty long legs though, so I'm going to have to watch him, as he could get pretty heavy, based on his bone structure, if I don't watch it closely (which I will). And, the yard looks a lot better now. It had been very hot and dry prior to that video. But, then we got several days of rain, the residue from hurricane Isaac, and the yard is a lot greener now:)! You'll see it in the next video, whenever I get a chance to post it. Thanks again. |
He is so handsome. My boy would go after a rabbit in a minute. He goes for squirrels, chipmunks and birds. He love to play ball. Love his grooming looks good but you have to keep the brushing up daily. |
Thanks - Yes, Peyton gets brushed at least twice daily. With the pet cut, being a little shorter, it makes it easier as it doesn't get tangled near the ends so easily. And, I'm sending him to the groomer every 4 weeks. I am beginning to think that Peyton has scared the rabbits away. I think they knew my other dogs were not fast enough, nor persistent enough to catch them, and they just toyed with them. But, Peyton is incredibly fast for his size - and persistent. And, I think the local rabbits may have learned this already. I mean, I haven't seen a rabbit out there in at least 10 days...maybe 2 weeks. Which is extremely rare here. They used to live under that one shed in my neighbor's yard. Hopefully that will change, as he enjoys chasing them sooo much, and it is extremely good exericse for him:) If I can ever get a video of him chasing one (should they come back), will post it. You will be amazed at how well he keeps up with them! |
Peyton is so handsome:) You are both lucky to have found each other! |
Peyton He looks like my Reuben will look when he,s grown.Does he keep still for you to brush him? Reuben wriggles and barks at me.I had him trimmed last week.I asked her not to do him short, just a trim. But she scalped him,I was,nt happy. He looks thinner than ever now. |
