I love watching the little butts wiggle, but I would be so happy to have my boys follow like your Sampson. The ideal is to have your pup walk alongside you, to heel. Many yorkie parents allow a "soft heel," where the pups are out front but not pulling on their leashes.

I wouldn't do anything at this point, otherwise I think you might encourage the dreaded leash pulling (which my boys are doing a bit of in this video :p).

My Yorkies
 
I have 3 Yorkies which are an actual family. Mommy, daddy and son. They are the love of my life. Their names are Spanky, Bambam and Pebbles.

Aww, look how their hair blows in the wind, so gorgeous. And I love that they are still active boys rearing to go faster on their walks... You just gotta love Yorkies.

(we also don't have sidewalks in my neighborhood, but luckly the streets are quiet)

Love it...they look so gorgeous! My next purchase will be Buddy Belts. I liked seeing them in action, I have never tried one before. Levi is a leash puller maybe the Buddy Belt would help? What are you feeding these day, Max and Teddy sure could do a commercial!

Thank you. :) Our street is usually quiet too. We have started walking at an office park and the boys love barking at the buses, lol. Our buses are called "Fred" for Fredericksburg, so I tell the boys, "Here comes Fred!"

Thank you! You are too sweet. The Buddy Belt did stop Max from pulling for a long time....until Teddy developed his feisty streak and got Max going again. The boys eat Fromm Chicken a la Veg. :)

Oh they are beautiful...err handsome. It looks like the are doing well on the leash....remy is a dreaded leash puller :rolleyes: it looks like she could be a sleigh dog lol. Also she knows every fence that has a big dog to run up to and growl at...geeze:eek: my dh thinks it cute:eek:

I do have to work to keep up. I would try to run with them or wear roller skates, but they also have a tendency to stop on a dime to sniff and mark something. :rolleyes: Someone would end up with road rash.
