Our First Dress
 
Hey guys! Well we have had a big day around here. Katie Scarlett had her first vet appointment with her new vet here in the town we live in. It was a wonderful experience! They were so nice and Katie Scarlett was given a clean bill of health. They showed me how to trim her nails. After the appointment we went to Petsmart right quick. I had to get a few things and we picked up this basic little dress that was on sale for Halloween. It's not real fancy, but I wanted to try to get her used to dresses. I don't want her to wear them all the time, but on occasion, I do want her to be decked out. When we got home, she was so tired and a little out of it from the shot they gave her, so I let her rest. A few hours later she perked right up, ate a bite, and we played with her new Halloween spider toy and I put the dress on for just a few minutes. Overall, she did pretty good. She did try to tug at it a few times, but mostly just played around with her new toy. Any tips on acclimating her to wearing dresses? I would appreciate it!

I love the dress and she will get use to wearing clothes the more she wears them. I do love watching all the videos.

OMG Katie Scarlett just keeps getting cuter:) She looks adorable playing with her big ole spider toy and looks just darling in her first dress. Just keep putting the clothing on her for short periods of time and she will get used to them. Bogie hated clothes at first and now he loves his t-shirts. Jada has always like to be prissy and wear her dresses and clothes.

OMgosh....I LOVE her little Halloween dress! Katie Scarlett looks totally adorable!

Now is the perfect time to get her use to clothes. I had t-shirts type clothes on her from the time I brought her home. My girl loves has them on, she gets cold easily. Wears them all winter and nighties at night. In the summer she usually only wears them when we are going out or the AC is to cool.
When I pick out clothes for Zhoie, I always go with what I think will be comfortable to her.

She looks absolutely adorable! :) Welcome to the I will be buying many more dresses club! Lol. It is very addicting! I went in to Ross the other day. Where did I go? To the doggie section to check out the dresses. :rolleyes: Never bothered to look for clothes for me!

She is so cuye ! I love the video's.
I have my in dress's all the time when we go out.
As soon as they see me with any kind of cloths in my hands , they get so excited , that I have to hold them down so I can put them on.
You can pick up some cute and cheap tee-shirt at Target , the dollar area by the front. And have her in that for a little while.
After that she should be better about wearing them.

She's quite a doll. The only way to get them used to clothes is to put them on them often. Mine knows she's going the minute she sees me carrying something. She even knows they are for her when I bring them home from the store.:)

She is so adorable! She will get used to the clothes if you continue to put them on her and make it a positive experience with playing and treats.

Thanks everyone! We practiced in the new dress again this morning. Gonna take lots of practice sessions! LOL :)
