For Britster: Sadie's Trick Show
 
Here's my girl's tricks so far. She's not too bad for a 9 month old baby pup! :D We woke her up to do these for camera and she even played dead which she has never ever done first try before but this time she nailed it just for you all to see :D

Awww... I like how she gets so excited when you tell her to speak. So cute!!

Sadie is very smart! I could never get Kaji to speak. He just won't do it. :rolleyes: But I did teach my friend's dog to whisper. :D Maybe you could try it so that "speak" and "speak louder" can be two very distinct commands.

I razzled her all up with my hands and my facial expressions to the point that she just got so darn excited and i kept saying it over and over SPEAK SPEAK...until she started barking then i'd say YES and give treats for each bark until she realized it meant something to do it.

i use this technique for "quiet" as well...get her riled up speaking over and over and then say QUIET. and she'll sit and look at me waiting for a treat

unfortunetly quiet doesn't phase her unless she's doing her trick show :(

Ah! Thanks I should try that. Maybe I'll be able to get Lucas to only speak when I say so...Ya right! Lol :p

Excellent!!! This little girl is a genius! Joey didn't start his training until around 8 months, and it took him 6 weeks to learn all of that and that was with professional help! Great job mama, I think the trick training helps their overall sense of esteem. Joey always seems so proud of himself when he's done a good job.
