What a cutie! |
Frisco is adorable!! :) |
well, i know i have voiced my doubts about our fitness as a pack for Frisco, and we already have a situation. the teenagers had a snow day and were getting ready to go somewhere at noon. I sent the boy into the yard to fetch a basket of kindling with Frisco because i was not about to permit Frisco to be out all day in the cold wherever they wanted to take him. He can't handle the cold AT ALL. The boy took his eyes off of Frisco and evidently Frisco followed some neighborhood teens all the way up our street and out onto Main, where a driver rescued him from traffic and told the kids she would take him to the shelter. well Animal control hasn't seen him. It's now 7:30, i've contacted every surrounding county shelter, put some posters in places nobody wanted to allow, and i don't want to talk anymore |
Ok he's FOUND and my mouth will work properly again soon. See you guys in a bit. |
How cute! |
How is he? Was he at a shelter? I hope he is ok and glad he is safely home. |
The lady who had rescued him from traffic was waiting for something to show up in the newspaper since she felt iffy about leaving someone's baby at the pound. The beautiful family from a neighboring town had kept Frisco in comfort while he kept their tiny female chihuahua pretty busy. They said he wouldn't eat anything but hot dogs. Well her friend called her today to ask some more about 'that puppy'. She asked her friend if there was a sign somewhere, and her friend said THERE ARE SIGNS EVERYWHERE. We were reunited tonight at 6:30 pm. She said although he was okay, they never saw him play the way that he bounded when we showed up. When they repeated his name over the phone, he LEAPED up off the couch in sudden excitement. Now home, Frisco has found all his stuff, and his kibbles, used his pee pad, and we are picking up where we left off - WHEW. He's even chewing on that damn kindling. We just dismounted most of the signs. I wish I could replace them with great big slobbery thank you kisses. Except Walmart, McDonalds, Lowes and Ingles. They all systematically removed them. I hate them. I hugely thanked all the shelter and rescue network folks in the surrounding counties, especially for their gentle support!!!!! Without it, folks might be too EMBARRASSED to admit they lost their dog, and then the word wouldn't get out the way it needs to. As to the hot dogs, Frisco had a problematic poop an hour ago which left him trying to wipe a chunk off his butt all over the living room. This happened once before and I'll share that 911 another time, but we're good at it now and everything's already shampoo'd and Frisco's toasty and cozy and happy and warm and HOME. |

Ok, on the Walmart thing, it is greeter-dependent. The greeter who was concerned still had hers up, but the greeter on the other side had taken hers down. Advise dropping flyers in shoppers' carts. |
He is very cute! What an awful scare you had...thank goodness you found him!! I wish you many years of happiness with him...they are wonderful little pupsters! :) |
I really don't know what to do. Reading on this forum, Yorkies look more properly happy when they're together, but as you see we are barely managing the one. I am having a hard time with this. All I want is happiness for Frisco. Maybe he has a destiny, and it will unfold as it should. |
