I have a Siamese and a new puppy....it has been wonderful watching this laid back but playful cat make friends with a frisky canine. Our Rosie tends to hold her ground until the puppy pulls her tail, then pops out with her paw, then hisses! (You'd think the hiss would come first.) Of course, when the puppy is calm they are best buddies, even curling up on the pet bed together. Loved this video!

i have just got a siamese kitten,my yorky milo is fine with her,but missy is not to sure about her,missy keeps running round the house after her,then the cat goes in hiding,do's anyone have any ideas...thanks

Dogs vs cats
 
My Yorky Brady is 3 and he has been visiting my grandson's tiger cat since he was born (the cat was about 5 at the time and is now 8). Brady keeps barking at the cat and chasing it and it is so frustrating because we only visit my grandson and his parents twice a year. I think the cat teases him because he'll try to walk by Brady while he is sleeping but Brady immediately chases him. The cat has his claws so I am afraid Brady will get hurt. Does anyone have any suggestions as I am getting desperate?:mad:

Well maybe for safety you will need to keep Brady on a lead at least some of the time so that he can't chase the cat. Maybe when you visit at times your family could put the cat in another room, so you can all visit peacefully together. You could take turns cat away for a time, cat out and Brady on a lead. I too have a cat that Razz terrorizes which I always stop Razz from doing, but he just loves to chase and pounce on the cat so much. Now Karma the cat is very very gentle and never uses claws, but there can be a first time, so for that reason and our two big dog reasons, Razzle sleeps in his crate.

I've suggested keeping the cat upstairs with its litter box, food and water during the day because he sleeps up there all day. But my daughter in law thinks it's cruel. So he can sneak downstairs when no one is aware. Hope the situation is better in Aug when we go and will try putting Brady on the leash. Thanks
