JoJo licks his lips and makes a little smacking noise when he is sleepy. I call it "tasting" since he acts like he is tasting something. Once he starts, he is out like a light. Of course, it helps if he is being held.

Awww very cute! Our yellow lab sucks on her blanket to fall asleep. She goes into her kennel when she's tired and drags one out to snuggle with, it's adorable. She never did it when we first got her but when she was about 4 months old we took her to her "doggy daddys" house for a playdate and he sucks and kneeds a blanket to sleep and since that day she's done the same...it's the cutest thing! We love that she learned it from her daddy. ;) Miss Charlotte just curls up anywhere to sleep, nothing special needed.

this is something he's always done... i can't even remember when or how he picked it up...lol! I just love when he does it. he wiggles his but to get himself in JUST the right position and off to slumberland he falls. :)

He looked so cute. Without seeing this video, I would have never believed that a dog could sleep with his favorite toy like a child sleeping with their teddy bear. :2cute:

That is too cute! Rebel does the same thing and a friend of mine who has a yorkie says it's because they were taken from their mother too soon. I think it's true, because Rebel was only 6 weeks old when I got him.

I know now he was too young, but I didn't do enough investigating when I got him and was too stupid to know it:(

Oh my how cute... have never actually seen them falling asleep like this.. but again I would think leaving his mommie too early.. mine suckle until mommy does not let them... and I think annabella suckled the longest I have ever seen... anne

Was he bottlefed? I just fostered a puppy and had to bottlefed from about 2 days old. He nicknamed him Hoover because when I took the bottle away @ 7 weeks he would cry and when you would pick him up he wanted to suck on your chin, fingers and hand.

You know what I'm not sure... I didn't know it at the time but the breeder that I got him from was a BYB... :( My poor baby...
