Sad, and kind of Pitiful Ranger is 11 months old...and is 11 pounds of Yorkie. He is kind of lumbering fella and poor guy just hasn't figure out how to get up on the couches like the two little ones. It's ok that he can't get up because he just tramples all over us when he's on the couch, But it's really kind of sad to watch him and I feel bad because the other two sit up on the couch and look down at him...like they are saying "nananbooobooo". Here is a video at the pitiful attempts:rolleyes: |
awww! keep trying ranger!! You'll get it;) |
He is adorable! Ranger tell momma you wants some doggy steps!! :D |
Awe I'd have to pick him up and place him on the couch. |
Awww, sooo cute and yet soooo sad all at the same time :) He is precious!!:p:p |

Aw, how cute! And I love how only one of his ears is standing up! Adorable!! |
I agree with the steps, they sell them at Wal Mart for a pretty good price. I bought some and worked with the pups and they loved the steps. You do have one beautiful pup there..:) |
I second the steps recommendation...my girls have a set for the living room couch and they fly up them now! |
A co-worker saw my video and said, "Tiffany, those little doggie steps are on sale at Walgreens". I guess I need to get some steps...hehe |
Doggie steps will help. If He gets used to using doggie steps they may save some wear and tear on his "knees" and other leg joints by not having the impact/jolt of his 11 lbs hitting the floor. Have you tried tempting him with a treat? Throw it up on the couch and see if he figures out how to jump or "climb" to get the treat. I cringe when Zack and Zeke go leaping off our pillow mattress. It's so high off the floor that DW's feet do not touch the tiles but then she's only 5'2". Strange, I do not any problems at 6'3" (:Dhehe). |
awwww poor ranger.....keep on trying. :) |
He's so cute with one ear up and one ear down! LOL Perhaps a non-slip rug will help him "bounce off" the floor to get some air under him! (but yes, Goggie Steps are the best!) |
God love him. Come on Mommie, pick him up. LOL! |
He is so-o-o-o-o-o adorable with those ears and that cute little cry! :biggrin8: |
Don't give up Ranger...I love the way he kept talking while trying to jump up. He is Darling, I love his floppy ear!! Thanks for sharing the video...:aimeeyork:D |
Ranger was sad and the yapping made me feel sorry for him... Doggie steps are defiantely in order. He is a determined little fellow ! |
Awwww....he is adorable!!! |
Try a running start Ranger!! Too cute! Love the ear! |
awwww poor ranger! You gotta get him some steps mom! I love his ears! :) |
I agree. He's adorable. Give him doggy steps and time. Gracie has short legs and still has trouble jumping on the couch sometimes, and she just reached 1 year old. He'll get it!;) |
Luca is only 3 1/2 mos old and he gets on the couch!!!!!! We have carpet but he kept jumping up from the edge of the couch. Well, that didn't work sooooooo he got across the room and RAN across then jumped on the couch. It was soooo funny. All he needed was a tall pole..LOL God love him, he is one determined soul. The reason he HAD to get on the couch was because Annabella (7 1/2 mos) had, (one by one) put ALL the toys up there so he couldn't get any of them. |
I forgot to say that we have a little step stool for the babies at the couch. We took it away because we didn't want Luca to get up there until he grew up a little. We were afraid he would fall off and get hurt. So much for that... After his pole-less vault, we put it back. The stool works great. |
Ranger, come on...you can do it...you're a big boy. It's just like Jack. He's just a year and 11 lbs and cannot get up on the bed so mommy keeps an ottoman by the bed just for him. |
