Wow Rockee Rocked that agility course! He clearly felt the tension on the teeter but it was ok the training montage had prepared him for it! I loved snow face at the end too! LOL! But I've never seen an agility class without a Border Collie! I am amazed! AND two GSDs! We don't have many GSDs doing agility here in NZ. But Rockee blew us away! |
aww great video |
New Zealand......to comment on your comments......you are right about the teeter.....to be honest w you Rockee still has not mastered it yet ....he will go up it but then I help him w the other end......the instructor is very insistent about doing this until they are comfortable w it.....one unpleasant episode and we would have to work harder to undo the damage!...for now I help him w it and let it bang a little so he is used to the sound..we had the one German Shephard ( a pussy cat) in my class and the other GS ( not so much a pussy cat) in the following class....good thing because I would be a nervous wreck staying vigilent!....AND my instructor has Border Collies.....she usually brings one or two w her and they are crated unless she uses them for demonstrations....and boy to they ever tear up the course!!!!!!!!!!!.....they bring tears to my eyes because it is such an awesome thing to see....they are like speeding bullets and soooooo focused ....I love it! do you do agility?? |

I've got a couple of agility vids on my You Tube page - none of them are as good as yours (there's no training montage ;) ) & Sorry for the long post I love talking agility. :D |
WOW......your dogs are amazing and really rip up that course!!! I don't come on this forum too often so I don't know names but I DID see these videos before and was very impressed!!! You do great also! I think I'm the one who needs the most training because if I don't get it then the pups can't follow me!! Isn't it a blast though?? We don't start up again til Feb but I can't wait til the weather thaws so we can go outside!! It's like Siberia here lately w below zero temps.....today is a heat wave at 18 degrees!....Thanks for sharing your sweet dogs! |
Yeah my biggest problem is "handler error" LOL! That's why dougal came out of that tunnel in the vid. It just takes time (we've been at it for nearly 4 years!). It looks like Rockee enjoys agility and that's all that counts. You and he can learn together. I learnt sooo much more about my dogs' personalities in doing this training. Rockee is very adorable I bet he'll be cutting up the course in no time. :) |
