I was going to get one from BBB to try on Bailey but he's scared to death of everything it seems so my best bet is to get the Pedicure, right? The breeder did a great job on clipping his nails because we have hardwood floors and we couldn't hear him walking across them when we first got him. |
I posted a blog on the Peti-Paws, and it took about a week for Joey to get use to the noise. I went really slow, and the first few days just turned it on for a few seconds, and gave him a treat, later actually letting him feel the vibrations. Here's a detailed account for those interested. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/blo...ally-work.html I'm glad I bought it because I found that his nails grow at different rates, and only a couple on the front paws really need regular clipping, I guess he keeps the rest of his worn down naturally. |

Do you clip them first? |

Oh no, that's the part that scared me, I always took Joey to Petsmart for that, but last time they hurt him, and he yelped loudly, so that's why I wanted to try something different. I think because the nails grow at different rates, maybe they clip some that don't really need it, and get them too short. Anyway with the Peti-Paws you are filing instead of clipping and you are have less chance of hurting them. Plus there are no jagged edges. The hardest part is being patient, and taking your time to get them accustomed to the sound. Here's the link to the Peti-Paws site: Pedi Paws - Official Site of the pet nail trimmer As Seen On TV |
I'm still waiting on my Peticure....wondering if it will ever get here!! Its been 6 weeks.................so if I ever get it I'll let you know how my Daizy does! |
