I wanted to see what you guys think of this video and tell me if I'm over reacting. I commented on the person's youtube profile that this was not funny because it bothered me. Just wanted to share it.:mad:

I didn't see a problem with it. I've had Lacy on a raft before at the lake.. some dogs like water, and some don't. They didn't look like they were any danger with people right there, and they didn't look particularly scared to me

I've seen yorkies have fun in the water and on rafts, this didn't appear to me like that. They look scared but that's my opinion and I did type MAYBE I'M OVERREACTING, but it's just my take on it.

I think it depends they all look wet so them must be swimming. I know of a Malt that loves to swim and dive???? It depends on how you look at it. JMHO

The one dogs tail is wagging like he/she is ok with it, but the others look like they were a little scared. I didn't think they were in any danger but they appear anxious to get off. It just ticked me off because yorkies are already kinda scary and don't need extra stress and that's where my mind went. I just wanted other opinions.

I do agree that a couple of them looked like they'd have rather been anywhere but there. I hope that the little ones enjoyed the pool and were just unsteady on the raft. I hope that the people didn't think it would be "cute" to just put them there.

I realize some dogs love the water but I've seen some puppies trying to jump out of a tiny toddler pool with water only to the top of their feet. There are some pups that hate water and I know a lot of people cool their pups off with water during the summer. I looked at the video really quick and decided to share it. I think to put them on a raft and get a quick picture is ok, I just thought it could stress them when they want to get off and can't.

I don't know, it's hard to say. I know alot of yorkies love to swim. I think if I had my yorkies on a raft, though, I'd be in the water with them. But, I'm kinda protective of mine.:)

It looks like they were kinda scared because they were on the raft and it was moving. I would have been in the water with them myself.

I feel the same...I to would have been in the water with my baby.
My Yorkie hates the pool water but absolutely loves to play with our New England Oceans waves.....GO FIGURE??? LOL

LOL ! I dont' have a pool but did have a water baby when I had a yard ....These are a few years old but Chanel STAYED wet in the summer time -

check her out...she's playing in the hose...flying thru the air - that's why we called her AIR Chanel

Me too....you know in her head she's saying...weeeeeeeeee! Air bud has nothing on Chanel.

Ramsey and Reese ride on boogie boards in the pool, love boat rides, and now Reeser has added jet skiing to his this is fun list.

Reggie wants to play in the hose...it was too chilly before for me to actually let him...so he plays in the automatic sprinklers watering the lawn.

Some of the dogs were enjoying it. Maybe there were having fun at the dogs expense, but there was no harm done to the ones who didn't appreciate it. I would have really been up set if it had been small children being done that way. I mean there were safe, they were on a raft. and like has been pointed out. Most yorkies like the water. Who is to say that there wasn't someone out side of the camera range, in the water with them. People are so quick to jump to conclusions.

you're right - they did look pretty scared - but at least there were people right there and they were being watched. IF I had a pool I think I'd make sure it was fun for the dog before I put them on a raft and you can tell when they really like stuff...tails wag

here she is as a puppy in her own pool. Yorkies can love water for sure!
