Yep coming back in 3 or 4 months- can't wait! Will be back permanently after October 6 (yeah the wedding's 4 months and a day away it's crazy!!) but we may be getting our place in like mid September- I can't wait! We'll all have to have a meet up (Roo still needs one more round of shots before she's allowed to socialize though- the vet didn't want to give them all to her at once because she's so little!).

I'm in Locust Grove, 1/2 way between Fredericksburg and Culpeper, off Route 3. I commute 70 miles to DC to work, for now.

Hi I just joined the group. I am from leesburg,va and i just got my baby girl about 2 weeks ago. Her name is Tumi and she is 15 weeks old. she got all her shots and she's ready to play with other puppies. I am just looking for a dog park. Also i need to find her playmates so she can play with someone her size. she is 2.11lb now. she is such a cutie and i am in love with her more and more. Also does anyone know any good groomers around leesburg?:animal-pa

Hello,
I just got my baby girl 2 weeks ago. My fiance and I are very interested in having a puppy meet up. My girl is 15 weeks old and 2.11lbs. she is such a cutie pie and we just love her. I can't wait for her to have new friends!she's done with all her puppy shots!

Roo's finally done with all her shots too and she'd love someone to play with though i've noticed that it takes her a while to warm up to girl dogs (had her in old town alexandria last weekend and she refused to play with a little female yorkie/chiuaua mix but was happy to sniff and play with a cute male chiuaua)- have you noticed that about your pup? Roo is still less than 2 lbs at 5 months but she loves to play with our 45 lb rot/spaniel mix =) so long story short we should all definitely do a meet up somewhere!!! I live out in woodstock, va - kinda out in the middle of nowhere but i'm sure we could find a dog park maybe more towards leesburg?

I have been having the groomer problem too but finally just made an appointment with the one next to my vet...my main concern is that they keep her for 3 hours- i think that's a bit ridiculous- why can't they make like 30 minute appointments or something??? anyway good luck finding someone!!

I agree..Three hours is ridiculous. It would be so stressful for the puppies. Tumi pretty much plays with any small dogs. She is just afraid to play with the big ones...so funny. We were in NJ last week and she played really well with 26lbs beagle that my fiance's sister has. Actually, the beagle was afraid of her. funny..And Tumi will start her puppy kindergarten next week..haha..i am excited..

I live in Winchester, not far from Leesburg. I have been on here a while. I just never visited this part of the forum before. I am just waiting to get my exchange buddy and looking around. I have had my yorkie since last November. He is about 2 1/2 years old and weighs a hefty 13 pounds. He really likes to eat!

Is anybody expecting any puppies soon? I would like to have one for my birthday on August 7th. I expect to spend under $400 for the puppy.

Good luck with finding your yorkie for that price. I don't think that is being realistic but I guess it could be done

Hmm..i really doubt you will find any yorkie in that price range. good luck..just to let you know the puppies are huge responsibility and they are gonna be with you for a long time. they are like babies. So i would say do your research. You want to have a healthy and happy puppy. Therefore, it is not realistic to find good yorkie puppy around that price. And please dont get one from puppy mills either. Healthy and happy puppies are worth every penny..so just wait and save more to get the quality puppy..i hope it helps..

you should go check out this store in Ashburn, va if you are close by. the owners are awesome and they are experts in dog nutrition.

I am from alexandria and will be picking up my girl tomorrow.
She has all her shots except the bordatella which she will get wednesday.

She is pretty small so I just want to make sure she is in good company!

How old is she? Riley is now 7 months. He's gotten pretty big, but is extremely submissive and isn't rough with other dogs. Maybe they can meet up and play sometime!

Roo is 2 lbs and finally has all her shots- I'm getting married in a week and then going on my honeymoon for a week and then we're getting a yorkiepoo puppy but sometime after all that I'd definitely love to do a meet up! I'm going to be living in Culpeper but I grew up in Alexandria- kinda near hybla valley/mt vernon. I LOVE alexandria- especially old town. Have you lived there all your life or just move?

My husband and I are down in Williamsburg a lot! We love Busch Gardens and the outlets =) But we're in Culpeper so not too close but would be interested in doing a meet up sometime- how many yorkies do you have/how big are they?

How big? Roo's 2 lbs and the new yorkipoo will be around 5 lbs full grown. Roo LOVES other dogs though- are there any dog parks around you? We'll probably be down there some time for howl o scream but not sure if we'll bring the pups since we'd have to leave them in the hotel room or kennel. Anyway we'd love to come down at some point and have a play date though!

Hey everyone!! Well, I don't live in VA but work in Oakton/Vienna....at the AT&T building on ChainBridge Rd.... I actually live in Souther Maryland, Brandywine/Waldorf area....I've just always worked in VA...Reston, Tysons Corner....I love working/shopping out here but my mom lives alone so I needed to be closer to her on the maryland side....

I have 2 baby girls: Diva (1 1/2 years old) expecting 1st litter next weekend and Foxxy (6mths)....

I would love to know about some meetups in the D.C./MD/VA areas so if you know of any, maybe you should post a new thread with that info!!!!! =)

Hi, I use to live in woodbridge but now I live in NY but wanted to say hi and ask Roo if you could post a pic of your rotti/cocker spaniel mix, I have a dog I use to think was that mix but he is only 30 lbs so we think he may be dashound/cocker spaniel I would love to see what yours looks like and compare.
