New to Maryland Looking for Breeder Hi I recently moved to Baltimore and I'm looking for a playmate for my yorkie. There are some good breeders here at YT but I'm trying my hardest not to have a puppy shipped. Did any of you get your babies from a local breeder. Willing to travel up to pick up just don't want to ship. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
I have a friend in South Jersey that has pups. Also there are a few good breeders in MD, Tiffany yorkies being one of them. http://www.ytca.org/breeder3.html#MD |

Looking for a Breeder in Maryland/lost our 8 yr old Yorkie New to YT, we have had Yorkies for nearly 40 years, live north of Baltimore. Yesterday we lost our beloved 8 year old Ollie. Had been to local vet hosp. around noon, x-rays, etc checkup, he had lost a step or two, more dry coughing but was eating ok. Vet said all looked pretty good. I asked about how to calm him for 2 hr car trips , he said 1/4 to 1/2 of a 25mg tab of Benedryle. We went home, all ok. 2 hrs before planning to leave for our place near Lewes, DE we gave Ollie the Ben in liq form. I hr later he died. We are devastated. If I had not gone to the vet yesterday he would be alive. We have little 1 1/2 yr old Teddy (yorkie) who is now without his buddy. He is sad, too. Looking for someone who breeds, loves the breed and does not have fearful pups. Thank you, Ron Anthony perhaps a link to the Wolperts? |
So sorry for your loss. RIP Ollie. |
Hello and welcome. I am so sorry for your loss. I would check out the YTCA website for reputable breeders in your area |
TY spoke to the gentleman in Columbia, very informed. |
such a sweet boy, always loving, went to vet said he looked pretty good, not that was near death never thought we'd lose him at 8, shocked x 100 |
we talked to the Wolperts, very very nice folks but have no boys and after what happened at the vet hosp yesterday I cannot get our 1 1/2 yr boy Teddy to be fixed anytime soon. just plain scared to death for another round. So we are looking for a boy to be buddies with Teddy, he is looking for Ollie and so amI |
looking for a boy for Teddy Still looking around, thank you for suggestions and sympathy, made srambled eggs this morning was a mistake as Ollie loved them too. Am thinking i failed my sacred responsibility to take care of him--he had when he got excited a sort of fast cough but did that for years, then would calm down, past few days he would do about three coughs when resting like clearing his throat-that;s why I took him to the vet hosp for checkup on tues. Now thinking if the cough was due to a partally obstructed trachea I should have gotten astent for him then the demand on his heart would be less anf he'd be withus today, sorry. so soorry dear Ollie ron |
