Carnivale of the Dogs at Rittenhouse Sq, Philadelphia These is the second year of Carnivale of the Dogs at Rittenhouse Square Park. I may take my Britney and Brooklyn for a little bit in the afternoon (AFTER the parade.. I feel bad for the dogs in costumes.. most of them look so pitiful/mortified). I saw some pictures from last years and it seemed like a lot of yorkies were there. Anyone plan on going? http://www.phillyfunguide.com/event.php?id=6531 Information about the event. http://www.pbase.com/pvairo/dogs Pictures from last year. (Surprisely) It looks like a lot of people attended. |
looks like fun. thanx 4 sharing.:) |
Sophia and I will be going!!! :) |
Great! Did you go last year? If so, how did you like it? Looked like there was quite a turn out. |
No I didnt go last year...This was the first I have ever heard of this...Someone that I work with forwarded the email to me...We are about 2 hours from Philly...Should be a fun time :) |
Ohhhh, I wish I could go. This is my weekend to work though. :( :( If you go, take LOTS of pictures! |

Rittenhouse Sq. very pretty. Hopefully they will have cleaned up after the storm last week. |
Looks like alot of fun!! |
does anyone know where we can park our car? or if i can take a train from nj with my yorkie baby. thanx. |
no dogs on patco. anyone know of a good place to park or if there are meters? |
That area is a nightmare to park it. I would suggest one of the side streets (Arch or Race sts. to the west of Rittenhouse Sq. or Pine or Spruce to the south). I could maybe come up with some other suggestions if you (or anyone else who would like to) PM me. :) I can also suggest some parking garages which would probably be a better idea. |
how about taking the ferry from Camden to Pennslanding? If you put Romeo in a carrier you could probably take the speedline. No one would say anything and since it's a Saturday it'll be less crowded anyway. My sister in law use to take the speedline from Woodcrest with her Chesapeke retriever all the time. If anyone said anything she just said that she was in training to be service animal and they let her go on! |
Hi! I am going on Sat. It sounds really fun. My friend who works at the Rittenhouse Hotel sent me this on Tuesday. He knew it would be right up my alley!! I have no idea about the parking, we walk around the square alot but always park on one of the streets. Can anyone tell me where the dog Stores are at too?? Last time my husband & I couldn't find them. Thanks:) |
Doggie Style 2 (2056 Locust Street) is only a couple of blocks away from Rittenhouse. Both Chic Petique (616 S. 3rd Street) and Bonejour (14 N. 3rd Street) are nice but quite a walk from Rittenhouse. :) |
Sophia and I are looking forward to going tomorrow! They are calling for such beautiful weather too!! :) |
